Sacramento Kings (7-15) vs. Golden State Warriors (8-12)

Blog Buddy: Sactown Royalty
The Golden State Warriors beat the Sacramento Kings 93-90 on Tuesday in a game when the bench came up big to carry the team. Atma Brother ONE already summarized the main points, but perhaps a brief look at the stats from Tuesday will help us know what to expect for tonight's rematch in Sactown.

What happened Tuesday:
-
Stephen Curry and Monta Ellis combined for 15 points on 6-for-24 shooting: The likelihood of this happening again against the same team would certainly seem slim.
-
The Warriors committed only 8 turnovers: To Curry & Ellis' credit, they also combined for 12 assists and just 1 turnover, which meant the Warriors did get some efficient distributing from their starting backcourt. Nate Robinson came off the bench for another 5 assists to just 1 turnover. When the teams' lead ball handlers are playing that well, good things follow from the rest of the unit.
-
The Warriors got crushed on the boards, 53-38: The Warriors are not a particularly good rebounding team and the Kings took advantage, particularly on the offensive boards - the Kings got 29.3% of their available offensive rebounds compared to only 18% for the Warriors. Three Kings - including Tyreke Evans who was one assist shy of a triple-double - had double digit rebounds. The Warriors just struggle with the Kings' athleticism in the frontcourt.
What to expect tonight:
-
Curry will put up more shots: There's something else to note about Curry's game on Tuesday night: his usage rate was only 14.9%, a season-low. Sacramento didn't allow him much at the rim or from the 16-23 foot range, where he normally gets more shots. It will be interesting to see just how the Warriors can put him in better position to get shots after the last game. One would also have to assume that Curry and Ellis will be more efficient than 6-for-24, but getting shots up is a start for Curry.
-
The turnover battle will not end so heavily in favor of the Warriors: Finding more shots for Curry will be particularly important because the chances of the Warriors having a ball handling game that much better than average again would seem slim. That means less points off turnovers and makes finding more shots for Curry all the more important.
-
The Warriors will get beat on the boards again: However, forcing turnovers and getting transition points will be important for the Warriors because the Kings are going to get a number of second chance scoring opportunities with their offensive rebounding ability (best offensive rebounding team in the Western Conference with a 29.68% offensive rebounding rate). Once again, the Warriors will just have to find a way to live with that and the combination of bench production and Kings' turnovers got the job done on Tuesday. But Tuesday's game probably wasn't representative of what we'll see tonight.
And I'm expecting our bench to run them over once again
IQofaWarrior - February 4, 2012
I haven't watched the Kings too much
but from the Warriors game I feel like they are a DUMB team. So many dumb and unforced turnovers. Tyreke was crazy though
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
But remember
the real Warrior killer is back. Marcus Thorton so Warriors need to watch out. Not to be over confident coming to this game.
mykelala01 - February 4, 2012
Sac looks tough on the boards vs. GS
they’re actually one of the worst rebounding teams in the league, but still able dominate the very worst, GS. Getting a big edge in turnovers is obviously one remedy, along with offensive efficiency of course. Getting the open court offense in gear as it was for some of the UT game would increase that efficiency, and a means to counter a team focused on crashing the off. boards.
the.monk - February 4, 2012
I've been noticing some people talking about this
So I thought I would ask: Who thinks Monta should be an All Star?
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
lol...You sure pick your spots. Monta is always our all star candidate; unfortunately, the Curry injury, playing PG/SG, and a few missing pieces have affected his output this year.
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
I could also make a case for Dave Lee...
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
I would say Lee is our all-star canidate this near.
Curry is the best player on the team, but he has been not 100%. Monta is having an off year it seems.
brutusbrutus - February 4, 2012
I would also say that Curry is a perinial all-star
if he stays healthy and we trade Ellis. Of course we have to find a way to replace what Ellis brings just in a different position.
brutusbrutus - February 4, 2012
high volume scoring is the easiest thing to replace on a roster
defense, high basketball iq, court vision, space creators, and dominant post presences are not
j-spliff415 - February 4, 2012
minor correction
bigkino217 - February 4, 2012
That's why Kobe is still at LA...
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
kobe isn't inefficient
bigkino217 - February 4, 2012
look again...
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
dude do you know what efficiency is?
kobe has been at or above average efficiency in every single year of his career
bigkino217 - February 4, 2012
youre right
i should have added that. the sad thing is that most high volume scoring IS inefficient, so its slightly implied
j-spliff415 - February 5, 2012
Yeah that is why I think Ellis isn't gone already
the Warriors want something for him other than another long bloated contract and I don’t think the rest of the league wants Ellis. If the Warriors were a winning team a potential Ellis trade would be headlining the NBA.
I honestly believe that the only reason the Warriors have not traded Ellis, is because they cannot get much of anything for him. Its sad, he will probably up his value tremendously if he goes to a winning team and plays off the ball again. I think he would be a good fit in Chicago.
brutusbrutus - February 4, 2012
At least you are honest about your beliefs Brutus, but you really miss the mark on Monta.
I can’t wait till Monta and Curry start putting up 50 points every night in a devastating 1-2 punch backcourt of a playoff team!
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
Monta is not having an off year. Monta had no Curry for 10 out of the 20 games this season, and was playing 40 minutes while distribting, scoring, and trying to play d. That is why his output suffered.
If Steph stays healthy, look for Monta’s game to quickly go through the stratosphere again!
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
Forwards are way too deep in the Western Conference
maybe if he was in the Eastern Conference he’d have a way better chance.
lameallenmark - February 4, 2012
?
aldridge, jefferson/milsap (who udoh owned), dirk, gasol, love and durant…..
who else?
howard, james, boozer, bosh, anthony, garnett (still a defensive stopper in my book), iggy,
i’d say its pretty even on both sides
j-spliff415 - February 4, 2012
+ and Lee has better numbers than 80% of them!
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
i wouldnt go that far
aldridge is an MVP candidate this year… he’s having a dwight howard effect in Portland in the sense that they wouldnt be considered scary without him putting the entire team on his back. (think about it, they lost both Roy and Oden in the same year, and he picked up all the pieces)
gasol is gasol
love is a top three player in the league right now (james, love, kobe)
dirks a champion
in the east: bosh is having an career year and garnett is still as marketable as ever. lee doesnt really have a shot unless he plays for a big market, well known team
j-spliff415 - February 4, 2012
Yep, I over stated...:-)
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
Love is not top 3
If love was so good they would make the playoffs…period. There is some talent on the Minnesota squad, if he cannot make it a winner then talk of him being a top 5 player is ridiculous. If Dwight Howard is on your team, you are making the playoffs. If Lebron or Wade is on your team and healthy you are making the playoffs.
If Love being on your team cannot guarantee playoffs, then him being top 5 is useless. The best player contributes to wins.
BTW Anybody arguing Lee is an Allstar when we are at best a marginally better team with him on the floor is asinine.
pericles31081 - February 4, 2012
howards a center
in other news, i’m stupid
j-spliff415 - February 4, 2012
lol..as I said earlier, I could make the case for Lee...
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
you'd lose
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
this
bigkino217 - February 4, 2012
Maybe, but I could still make a good case for him, as stated.
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
a good case has a chance of winning
your case doesn’t have that, at all
why? because you’re going to point at his point and rebound totals, his “leadership” and his hustle.
how could I know this? because it’s all he has going for him.
The other guys play defense. The other guys play next to players who actually rebound. The other guys efficiency is just as good or better in most cases. The other guys’ teams are winning. SOME of the other guys are the best players on their team.
You continually cite how Lee playing with no one in the front-court means his numbers aren’t as great as they could be. Well, imagine if he played next to Andrew Bynum, as Pau Gasol does. Andrew Bynum rebounds the ball 12 times a game. Andris Biedrins does it 5. That’s a difference of 7. Obviously, having Bynum would improve our team rebounding, but at some point it cuts into Lee’s personal rebounding totals. But hey, let’s not stop there. Bynum scores 17 points per game. Andris scores 3. That’s a difference of 14. Again, having Bynum would improve our team offense, but not by 14 points. The same principle the Lakers see in action every night also applies to teams like Utah that Some of his scoring would again cut into Lee’s totals, more-so than anyone else on the team because he plays down low. So please, enough of the Lee’s numbers would go up with more help argument. It’s just not true.
He’s doesn’t belong more than any of these players:
Gasol
Aldridge
Love
Griffin
Dirk
That already pretty much fills up the PF position. But let’s go further.
Since you have to make arguments for him to belong more than Millsap and Duncan, you’ve got your work cut out for you to even get him to 6th. Typically, you only see 3 or 4 PFs on an All-Star team. He doesn’t belong, and he has no chance of making it. Monta belongs more than him, and he shouldn’t be there either. The biggest thing? All the players here play for teams with better records than ours, and the only one not in the playoffs as of now has even better individual numbers.
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
couldn't have put it better myself. rec'd
bigkino217 - February 4, 2012
You are right, you couldn't have!
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
Thanks, for making the case for him!
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
I have not made the case, yet, and...I could shoot everything you wrote full of holes! :-)
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
Let me give you a clue, who said anything of him making it as a starter!
By the way, don’t be surprised if he does, if he keeps playing this way….
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
you're right
nobody said anything about him being a starter
because I’ve already showed you how he wouldn’t even make it somebody go hurt.
besides, you do know that the starters were announced already…? right?
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
Were they?
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
yup
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
do it then...
i promise you, you’ll either get ripped or laughed at
not because people don’t like you or anything, but just because even fans of this team could not allow themselves to be so deceived by Lee’s numbers. you’ll get J-Ridah’s support, though. I think
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
I do not write in here to get anyone's support, and take nothing personal. My thoughts are out there for anyone to take a crack at. I guess making the case for Lee's All Star candidacy is a slam dunk if he is selected, wouldn't you say?
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
still no
i’d be happy he made it, but he still wouldn’t have deserved it
and I thought that I clearly just took a crack at your thoughts. you replied and said nothing to refute anything I said
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
You responded based on a lot of supposition of what my case for Lee would be. Heck, if the entire NBA world does not agree with you, you are already predisposed to say he does not deserve it!
So why make the case when you are so obviously biased against Lee?
Let me give you another clue: He could be my candidate based on leadership alone!
Of course, having premier double-double numbers would also add some weight!
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
I’m biased against Lee? OK
Talk about assumptions
and leadership, huh? He’s “led” us to an 8-12 record lol
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
lee deserves to be an all-star
he’s not my favorite, but numbers don’t lie
j-spliff415 - February 4, 2012
lol not ever in the history of manBrownie13 - February 4, 2012
numbers don’t lie
but you gotta understand their language
Skeptic con Urquell - February 4, 2012
Are there any others besides binary?
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
Well using stats to express how David Lee is a better player than any of the actually deserving All-Star candidates at his position…is a clear and blatant lie.
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
I have not used anything, yet!
I simply stated I could make the case for him….
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
I've seen you make the case for him elsewhere.
I don’t need to see it here.
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
Not so. I have never made any statement, till today, on whether, or, not, Lee could be an all star candidate from this team!
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
lol whatever.
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
the all-star game isnt about understanding the language of numbers
the average fan who votes for players does not have the depth of understanding of stats that float around GSOM.
the players are picked for two main reasons: Points and marketability.
perfect example: blake griffin should not be starting. not even close. that should have been a well debated battle between aldridge an love.
j-spliff415 - February 5, 2012
the average fan’s impact on who makes the all-star game is over. voting is done. starters are decided. now it’s going to be the coaches and the NBA front-office that decide.
besides, you said DESERVES to be. not that the average fan thinks he should be. whether he makes it or not, for whatever reason, he does not DESERVE to be there.
and while the average fan doesn’t have a great knowledge of the meaning of stats, they do have an understanding of team record. it’s unlikely that a team with a losing record gets a player to start in the all-star game.
Brownie13 - February 5, 2012
Here is the thing about Lee, he probably would be our all-star if we were performing well
overall, but he hasn’t led to victories. For a player on a bad team to make the all-star game they have to be putting up absolutely huge numbers, even then people question any player that puts up good numbers on a bad team.
brutusbrutus - February 4, 2012
He has led us to whatever victories we have....:-)
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
If we establish any semblance of inside presence, Curry and Monta will get better shots, and all will be OK.
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
Curry is shooting just fine this year, he needs to get healthy so he can penetrate better.
brutusbrutus - February 4, 2012
I was commenting on what needs to happen in tonight's game if Curry/Monta are to shoot better than last time.
As far as his overall shooting, Curry is below .400 (.397) in 3pt shooting for the first time since he came to the NBA (.442 last year), and he is shooting .800 from the FT line which is below his career .900. He is shooting the same as last year from the 2PT range. I happen to think that Steph is one heck of a ball player, and I hope he stays healthy that he may truly develop into a perennial all star candidate.
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
The thing is, he is going to the line a little less and relying on jumpshots
He is passing better. Also .397 is always a good percentage for 3pointers you can’t expect a guy to average .442 from 3 every year. Curry has potential to shoot 50% from the field 40% from 3 and 90% from 3, that doesn’t make it hugely likely. I wish the team had more defense at the 3 and 2 positions to make up for Curry’s deficiencies same with the C position to make up for Lee’s deficiencies. Rush is good, he might be even starting calibur, the problem with an Udoh, Lee, Wright, Rush, Curry lineup is that there isn’t a starting calibur 3rd scoring option, we need someone like Deng, or Iggy. We also need more depth at center. Also why does Biedrins still start? Udoh has been doing a great job at defense.
brutusbrutus - February 4, 2012
Yep, I wish for a lot of things too...I wish we had a center also that Lee might be more effective, and Curry, Wright, Monta get better scoring opportunities..
The inside game opens up the outside game, and back again…An inside presence to complement Lee would sure make defenses honest, and open better looks outside.
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
For Lee to be more effective I am by the way talking not of his ability to score
with a better Center his scoring might go down, but his effectiveness will be better because he will have a better defender next to him. Udoh is good at one on one defense so he helps Lee, but a good one on one defender that is also good at help defense would really help Lee out.
brutusbrutus - February 4, 2012
Correct. A player being better and more effective does not necessarily mean greater numbers.
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
there is zero reason why we wont have a three game win streak after tonight
lets get some momentum building. we have some very winnable games coming up against phoenix, houston, and some others. would be nice to reach .500. maybe instill a little bit of confidence in someone besides nate rob
j-spliff415 - February 4, 2012
I'm with you. Also, it should be a bounce-back game for our starting backcourt after the last Sacramento outing!
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
a bounce back?
from the utah game would be back to sucking?
Skeptic con Urquell - February 4, 2012
Clearly state a bounce back from the last outing with Sacramento...
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
there is zero reason why we wont have a three game win streak after tonight
does Vegas show those odds?
Skeptic con Urquell - February 4, 2012
not unless being a 1.5 point underdog means there is no reason we won't win tonight lol
bigkino217 - February 4, 2012
Rally, Kino/ Vegas has us as 1.5 underdogs? That sucks!
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
When we have a high expectations,
Warriors loose, there is no easy game for the Warriors. Specially on the road. I am hopeful that they can pull it off. Will be tough.
DaveinSJ - February 4, 2012
If we lose tonight
I’m on the Tank Train.
dandubz - February 4, 2012
If we keep on losing I think we will trade Biedrins and Ellis at least
Maybe even Lee at the trade deadline. We’ve been doing alright recently but we have to go on a winning streak. Part of me hopes that the team bites the bullet this year. Getting a good draft choice would be excellent.
brutusbrutus - February 4, 2012
Don't bet on that trade Brutus, and don't hold your breath either!
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
There is no reason not to blow up the team if the team has not shown improvement
from last year’s team at the trade deadline. There is also no excuse to not do something drastic at that point. Not good enough to make the playoffs with the starting 5 we have, then some of them or at the very least one of them needs to go.
brutusbrutus - February 4, 2012
i agree
come trade deadline, if the warriors are still in suckland, Ellis is gone. Thats what i interpreted atleast from that recent Lacob interview. not too sure about Lee i think he’s here for a while because Lacob is in love with him and his work ethic.
dandubz - February 4, 2012
NY has no PG
Jeremy Lin is getting good minutes. I think he has a chance to work himself into the starting lineup. (Iman Shumpert is not the answer)
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
Lin is a bench player
But with no PG, Lin is probably the best starter until Baron comes back
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
I disagree on Lin being bench player
He plays excellent tough defense and has good court vision. Baron not gonna be playing any D.
farid - February 4, 2012
+ Agree. Good exposure for him, let's see how he handles it...
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
Anybody would be better than Shumpert.
He’s absolutely destroying whatever flow is left of the offense…most shoot-first PG in the history of the NBA, when he probably shouldn’t be shooting at all…LOL
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
thats because
he’s not a point guard, he played SG in college. size/lack of PG depth relegates him to the 1
dandubz - February 4, 2012
He's 6'5"
he’s got plenty of size to play the 2. Basically they just don’t have a PG, which is the other part of what you said.
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
Round two of Nor Cal team matchup
This’ll be a good one. Good luck, Warriors!
yoshifan - February 4, 2012
I have noticed that DeMarcus Cousins has gotten a lot better after Smart took over.

Lin came in the second half and won the game for NY basically
while out playing Derron Williams. It was kind of like that summer league game where he outplayed Wall, except it was much better.
brutusbrutus - February 4, 2012
Amazing game!
He also came off the bench late 1st/early 2nd and fueled a comeback from down 12 to essentially tie it at half.

reggie is on his way to a great game against phoenix as well.
bigkino217 - February 4, 2012
Reggie is playing already?
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
Yeah for the Bobcats and he is starting for them
I hope he ends up having a great season. Morrow already had that 40+ game recently, now Lin I guess it’s Reggie’s turn.
On top of all that I don’t even have to feel bad about letting those guys go because I am happy with the Warriors bench as well. I am less happy with the Warriors starters.
brutusbrutus - February 4, 2012
Of course we gave up Lin for basically no reason
also we could have resigned Reggie. Morrow I think was bound to go.
brutusbrutus - February 4, 2012
Thanks, brutus. I thought they had said at least 2 mos recovery for Reggie. He is going to be a great starter for them!
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
Reggie could be starting..just saying.

GovernorStephCurry - February 4, 2012
cant win em all
at least Dubs have a knack for finding D-league talent. Tolliver, Cj, Morrow, Reggie, Lin
only one missing is Buike because his knee got messed up after surgery
starbury_to_s-jaxci2000 - February 4, 2012
if he keeps playing like he is today, he'll be starting even when they get back
silas loves him.
bigkino217 - February 4, 2012
well Henderson is the best scorer
so yeah I could see him starting over Maggette(unless he goes to the DJ/Kemba backcourts to start)
starbury_to_s-jaxci2000 - February 4, 2012
henderson for his career averages 14.3 pts per 36 on .501 TS%
reggie for his career averages 16.4 pts per 36 on .581 TS%
there is no way you can convince me that henderson is a better scorer than reggie
bigkino217 - February 4, 2012
i'm saying this season
starbury_to_s-jaxci2000 - February 4, 2012
reggie has played 2 games
you can’t say henderson is the best scorer because reggie coming off knee surgery has only played 2 games
bigkino217 - February 4, 2012
Yep! He is going to be a good one...
dinohealth - February 4, 2012
What a game for J Lin!

richstyle - February 4, 2012
F u
Monroe 24 16. Udohs potential is nothing compared to that beasy
richiek - February 4, 2012 via mobile
Hey hindsight is 20/20, Monroe still isn't a good defender... yet
Udoh I like, all I expect from the FO is to get a good player with the No. 6 pick which I think they did a fairly good job with Udoh, he has no offense so he will always be underrated but he plays defense well. The Warriors are usually better when Udoh is playing(that may be because of who he backs up.)
brutusbrutus - February 4, 2012
Udoh is a better fit behind Lee then Monroe would be imo
I like his ultradefensive change of pace when Lee comes out
kyzah - February 4, 2012
Monroe's like Lee.
GovernorStephCurry - February 4, 2012
but at like 1/3 of the price
bigkino217 - February 4, 2012

yeah Monroe gets a lotta bang of his little bucks

Mark Jackson has to have the team get Biedrins buckets rather than have Biedrins get the team buckets.
Mark Jackson doesn’t realize that
myk - February 4, 2012
No one misses Baron Davis more then Andris Biedrins
kyzah - February 4, 2012
If you post up Biedrins
He only has one move – the hook
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
He's afraid to get fouled
He will only shoot the hook because you can’t foul it
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
BIEDRINS ISO AGAIN!!!!! HE CAN'T SCORE THAT WAY!!!!
I guess he never watched Baron Davis play with Andris…..

JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
could say the same about anyone not named wright
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
leeeeeeeeeeeee wtf
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
inexcusable is used way too much around the Warriors
to bad its almost always deserved
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
Monta butterfingers
He was double teamed, but still, that’s bad
IQofaWarrior - February 4, 2012
Can we go all bench again please? This is disgusting
123707THIZZ - February 4, 2012
Bring in the bench!
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
where's the hard foul?
no easy layups
QualityOverQuantity - February 4, 2012
what is going on?
were just handing them the ball at this point
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
Kings are trapping
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
yeah, on one play, Monta had 2 defenders, AND 2 more defenders further back ready to stop a drive
IQofaWarrior - February 4, 2012
It's up to him and Curry to make the right pass
This is when a “true” PG would be nice
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
no question about it
IQofaWarrior - February 4, 2012
that really shouldn't result in all this...
were just making terrible passes all over. we’re not taking our time at all
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
offense looks disjointed atm
kyzah - February 4, 2012
WTH???
The game isn’t even on the radio tonight? No stream, no radio. argh….
warriorsablaze - February 4, 2012
It’s for the better.
TheSoundOfHockey - February 4, 2012
It's on KNBR680
I heard the 1st qtr driving home
IQofaWarrior - February 4, 2012
weird....
…I just listened to both 680 and 1050 and they were talking about football…
warriorsablaze - February 4, 2012
do you mean online, or over the air with a real radio?
IQofaWarrior - February 4, 2012
Online...but it should be the same.
warriorsablaze - February 4, 2012
Nope
NBA doesn’t allow its games to be broadcast on radio online (unless you buy a subscription or something)
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
I see.
warriorsablaze - February 4, 2012
Yeah if you listen to it online you won't hear anything
NBA has rules about online radio
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
ppl dont respect old school AM radio
hipster fm sports radio stations
QualityOverQuantity - February 4, 2012
What?
I just want the game to be on.
warriorsablaze - February 4, 2012

JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012

warriorsablaze - February 4, 2012
so hard to watch
playing straight up terrible basketball
ekpeudoh20 - February 4, 2012
horrible just plain horrible
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
Almost seems like other teams want Monta to shoot a 3 at the end of quarters.
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
No one, even the warriors, turn it over like this
I bet theyre tanking
Bobbita - February 4, 2012
Curry needs to man it up and get back in for his team
Hit to the midsection, goes to locker room and sits out rest of quarter. Play right after that Monta takes a vicious screen to the face and ends up out of bounds, takes a breather and gets back up.
kyzah - February 4, 2012
you have no idea what really happened
unless you are psychic and a doctor….. meh
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
of course i know what happened, i watched it happen
He goes for block, he takes knee to stomach, hes done for quarter.
kyzah - February 4, 2012
Players should only get paid for wins.
Bet they’d stop not caring then.
123707THIZZ - February 4, 2012
he went to the locker room lmao
why just catch your breath get back in there lol
stayedupto - February 4, 2012

if we cant, i dont want to see us win any more games.
true torture - February 4, 2012
kinda our season?
how do you figure?
AJC3317 - February 4, 2012
If we can't beat the freakin Kings, just tank. If we can, 9-12 doesn't seem so bad.
hense kinda our season lol
true torture - February 4, 2012
oh i get what you mean
AJC3317 - February 4, 2012
Kings defense very tough there
IQofaWarrior - February 4, 2012
Very chewy
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
thank you Klay
QualityOverQuantity - February 4, 2012
Klay is good enough to draw an initial double team bringing up the ball
But Kings left him wide open for the 3
IQofaWarrior - February 4, 2012

IQofaWarrior - February 4, 2012
Cousins is going to get a Tech soon
QualityOverQuantity - February 4, 2012
That's what i was thinking too.
Warriors need to talk to him a little so he gets ejected :)
farid - February 4, 2012
Klay needs more minutes
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
Klay needs more game
kyzah - February 4, 2012
what more can he do?
he makes every 3 he takes..been passing the ball better…don’t understand your comment
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
He's a very nice catch and shoot player.
kyzah - February 4, 2012
nah..he's been expanding his game lately...
been taking it to the rack…penetrating and dishing..he is evolving
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
He's not consistent beyond the catch and shoot
Which is to be expected of a rookie guard
kyzah - February 4, 2012
you are right...
he is not consistent ..but i think he is showing way more game than just being a catch and shoot player….he just seems to be getting more confident each game and shows a little more development to his game each game….and thizz is right…he was getting more minutes early in the year when he didnt deserve it and was bricking everything…now is the time to reward him
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
Seems like he was getting more minutes early in the season when he was bricking everything

It's going to go into OT with Klay hitting a Vlad like 3 at the buzzer.
Thus boosting Klay’s confidence and making him forget about the preseason fail.
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
why does mj keep the starters out for 6 minutes during the most important quarter?
every game
MontaMamba - February 4, 2012
Because the bench outplays them
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
Yup...
…if the starters don’t have the offense going…they are worse than the bench.
warriorsablaze - February 4, 2012
very true
but i like how monta plays during the 4th but not the last possesion of the 4th q lol
MontaMamba - February 4, 2012
Cause Bench has more chemistry and better defense than the starters.
They play more cohesively.

They are playing much more cohesively, and they are defenders. The Kings don’t have good enough players or aren’t playing cohesively enough to break

to break that bench

IQofaWarrior - February 4, 2012
mix it in
maybe curry and dorrell and see where it goes
starbury_to_s-jaxci2000 - February 4, 2012
I think the bench has to be a bit tired.
Hopefully starters get some PRIDE
123707THIZZ - February 4, 2012

GSW_fan - February 4, 2012

richstyle - February 4, 2012
Curry just lost us the game
Well Mark Jackson lost us the game, steph shouldn’t be in. He’s been awful
myk - February 4, 2012
no Nate Robinson
IQofaWarrior - February 4, 2012
Okay when Monta shoots us out of games, its Monta's fault.
But when Curry shoots us out of games, its Jackson’s fault?
No.
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
Well when Monta or Steph is playing horrible and the coach is running iso plays that result in bad shots
for that same player, it is the coaches fault
myk - February 4, 2012
Robinsons back
GET HIM IN THE GAME
Warriors Fanatic - February 4, 2012
HES HURT

stayedupto - February 4, 2012

doubleteapot - February 4, 2012

starbury_to_s-jaxci2000 - February 4, 2012
Why is Rush on the bench?
farid - February 4, 2012
seriously
he missed like an open jumper…badly
killerk968 - February 4, 2012
3 foot jumper too
richstyle - February 4, 2012
bench is probably tired though
killerk968 - February 4, 2012
You effin better call that a shot
123707THIZZ - February 4, 2012
Frustrating
TheSoundOfHockey - February 4, 2012
Monta 3... nope
game over
IQofaWarrior - February 4, 2012
So our starters are just going to brick everything
123707THIZZ - February 4, 2012
of course not
we get worse calls than the kings..
killerk968 - February 4, 2012
Are you kidding me.
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
OK, that's game on that lucky shot
IQofaWarrior - February 4, 2012
why is monta shooting?
richstyle - February 4, 2012
jesus christ curry.........
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
steph your a noob

richstyle - February 4, 2012

tenkaistar - February 4, 2012
HEY MARK WAKE UP UR BENCH IS PLAYING BETTER
richstyle - February 4, 2012
Sell high on CUrry
Knee jerk reaction…… But still
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
let's sell all of our starters and rebuild
IQofaWarrior - February 4, 2012
on 2k i kept only monta and wright and wright is coming off the bench
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
lmao
Knee jerk? Is that what you call it when you hate on the guy for years?
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
i never hated on him for years
just never bowed down to him as the savior
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
Smart pwning the Dubs this year
starbury_to_s-jaxci2000 - February 4, 2012
Curry wants better teammates so he's going for the tank
duballers23 - February 4, 2012
I see Marcus touching that
123707THIZZ - February 4, 2012
..
Monta + Curry → 10-30 from the field, 9 turnovers
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
They're both too smart to keep shooting right? No? Oh, right.
123707THIZZ - February 4, 2012
And we shafted CP3 for Curry.
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
Nah
CP3 shafted us for The Brown Skies of LA
myk - February 4, 2012
No
CP3 wasn’t staying. Curry is a very good young player. Just not a passer
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
Klay Thompson and DWright should be in alongside Monta
Steph really???
myk - February 4, 2012
CUrry's been Bad..
but so has monta …why does he get a pass?
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
monta shouldnt be in at all either
richstyle - February 4, 2012
exactly
MontaMamba - February 4, 2012
Klay/Rush/Dom 2-3-4…
Monta THE Boss - February 4, 2012
where Capt Jack when you dont want to put a point on the floor?
starbury_to_s-jaxci2000 - February 4, 2012
Curry is NOT a PG
He is a SG with above average passing
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
Curry cost us this game.
J-RIDAH - February 4, 2012
Mark Jackson did bad lineup, he runs no real plays
myk - February 4, 2012
not really
lack of rebounding
AJC3317 - February 4, 2012
this 2
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
Kings got a good share of offensive rebounds
starbury_to_s-jaxci2000 - February 4, 2012
+1
monta shot okay most of the way, just some dumb arse moments
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
No
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
our backcourt fails. curry is horrible. trade
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
chemistry wise the Warriors have a very poor starting 5
they just dont go together at all
starbury_to_s-jaxci2000 - February 4, 2012
bench chemistry > starters chemistry
Monta THE Boss - February 4, 2012
JEREMY LIN> CURRY
richstyle - February 4, 2012
Why do we care? The best option for this team is to tank and keep the pick. They aren't going anywhere this year.
duballers23 - February 4, 2012
LOL...all the curry haters....
MONTA has sucked just as much tonight
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
i like curry but he came out with no energy at all
richstyle - February 4, 2012
Bot him and Monta were terrible...
turnovers …bricking everything…more turnovers…daydreaming…awful game by the starting backccourt
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
shhhhhhh...!!
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
I love Curry
he is just not a PG. He could improve, but passing isn’t a skill you can easily improve on in the offseason.
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
naw
monta shot better most of the time and was at least aggressive
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
Game over
IQofaWarrior - February 4, 2012
They’ve been stuck on 102
TheSoundOfHockey - February 4, 2012
Hey, Nate IS back in
What a true warrior
IQofaWarrior - February 4, 2012
Too late
123707THIZZ - February 4, 2012
soon enough to get him more injured in a lost game though
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
lol
123707THIZZ - February 4, 2012
Why are we paying Lee so much money to sit the entire 4th and OT.. over dominic mcguire. I wonder what Lacob has to say about that.
Raiiny - February 4, 2012
I agree.
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
Ok....
Mcguire guards Evans…. TOUGH JUMPER
Monta guards Evans…. BLOWS BY FOR A LAYUP
Seriously Monta’s defense there… ugh
Warriors Fanatic - February 4, 2012
curry is our PG? really? he is horrible.
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
Monta has been just as bad tonight. Or are you ignoring that?
WYK - February 4, 2012
Curry shot us out of it when it mattered the most.
Thus, he gets the heat.
Normally Monta gets the heat for this.
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
I say bull. The entire game is important. A missed shot early in the game is just as bad as a missed shot late in the game. Either way it’s a possession wasted with no points. They both shot horribly tonight.
WYK - February 4, 2012
Get used to this happening a lot.
Mark Jackson has never coached at any level, times like these show it
myk - February 4, 2012
Bingo, what a horrible, horrible hire.
true torture - February 4, 2012
well it's a horrible hire if you wanted to make the playoffs this year
I’ll give him 2 years at least before i go that far
myk - February 4, 2012
I mean there were better options. This hire stinks, why bring in a broadcaster who sounds like an idiot a lot of the time?
Bryan Shaw was available… cmon…
true torture - February 4, 2012
I'd rather Jenkins than Monta/or Curry in
123707THIZZ - February 4, 2012
YES!!!!!
where the hell has he been? PLAY HIM JACSON!!!
Monta THE Boss - February 4, 2012
We needed composure, and that's a great word for him; composed
123707THIZZ - February 4, 2012
Dom with a nice/lucky pass to Klay at the baseline
IQofaWarrior - February 4, 2012
monta
can not play d
stayedupto - February 4, 2012
klay thompson mvp
Monta THE Boss - February 4, 2012
Btw not having a Center on the court for over half the game is beginning to discourage me
kyzah - February 4, 2012
the best center is Jeremy Tyler but MJ doesnt trust him yet
starbury_to_s-jaxci2000 - February 4, 2012
he's terrible right now
AJC3317 - February 4, 2012
not even a true center
just a bigger body
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
yeah real conundrum they have with that "center" position
when you have to consider him the best option to play in major minutes because the 9 million dollar a year man can hit a 5 foot layup or free throw?
starbury_to_s-jaxci2000 - February 4, 2012
Great defense!
IQofaWarrior - February 4, 2012
TRADE EVERYBODY!!!!!!!
Badly Browned - February 4, 2012
lol jump ball
AJC3317 - February 4, 2012
Haha Klays face when he shoots free throws
duballers23 - February 4, 2012
Klays gotta change his facial expressions
every time i see his face i just want to punch it
richstyle - February 4, 2012
I wonder how much of that was why a lot of people hated him
he does have a very punchable face
123707THIZZ - February 4, 2012
Blew the call again.
Refs are terrible
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
Curry out for Nate.Good.
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
Why?
farid - February 4, 2012
cause nate played better
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
lmao ya fucking right
stayedupto - February 4, 2012
seriously?
Curry was crap tonight, Nate lead the comeback
curry had 11 and 9 with 5 to’s and went 4-14
nate had 20 and 4 on 8-14
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
3 minutes too late
starbury_to_s-jaxci2000 - February 4, 2012
Curry suck!
Shells - February 4, 2012
Oh no not Shells!
Mcdonaldo is gonna hate you too :)
farid - February 4, 2012
clever
did you learn to change peoples names like that last year in second grade punk?
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
Calm down
first of all – Curry is playing out of position. Put him at SG as a secondary ballhandler but not a primary ballhandler
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
Why do you always instantly defend farid? when he insults my name even…
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
Because I AM farid
dun dun duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
where are you every game until Curry starts to play bad.? you just lurk here until it’s time to trash Curry – nothing but a freaking parasite.
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
dagger
Monta THE Boss - February 4, 2012
Jim is so freaking annoying
123707THIZZ - February 4, 2012
We suck.
Trade everyone
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
game over...
tenkaistar - February 4, 2012
haha
refs have been pretty good tonight but damn, that one was terrible
AJC3317 - February 4, 2012
fuck this shit
killerk968 - February 4, 2012
good night
Shells - February 4, 2012
Mark Jackson has no idea what he's doing.....
Couldn’t’ve we hired him as an assistant coach for smart instead??
myk - February 4, 2012
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa hes an idiot
hes all talk and by talk i mean talking non sense hands down man down crap
Monta THE Boss - February 4, 2012
we lost the game
when he sub ellis and curry. bad night for those two guys so why bother putting them in since we have better chance winning this game with our bench. id say bad coaching decisions.
stepN30 - February 4, 2012 via Android app
I think he just gave the starters a benefit of the doubt. They start for a reason.
Had the bench sucked in OT, people would have complained about leaving Curry and Monta out. It goes both ways.
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
i guess you are right
the starters failed us. Trade em’ all!
Monta THE Boss - February 4, 2012
Curry sucks. Trade him.
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
lol you sound like a knicks fan
just because he had one bad night u just call trades.
richstyle - February 4, 2012
uhh no...
trade monta..at least you got a replacement with Klay waiting right now…
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
you can get more for curry
for the rest of the way we could start monta and klay at guards. couldnt hurt us anymore us currently
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
Curry for Brandon Jennings
tenkaistar - February 4, 2012
ew
AJC3317 - February 4, 2012
Jennings has actually been pretty good this year. He is finally shooting at an acceptable clip and he’s passing a little better so far this season.
WYK - February 4, 2012
downgrade
Monta THE Boss - February 4, 2012
LOLNO
i wouldnt even do cj or nate for jennings
Monta THE Boss - February 4, 2012
Curry is good at basketball. Calm down, it is one game.
belilaugh - February 4, 2012
its becoming to common
the terrible to’s and nights where hes a 0 without his shooting
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
Fine.
Calm down, it is one injury-ridden, condensed schedule season where Curry is shooting an uncharacteristically low percentage from 3 point land, and probably from free throw land as well.
belilaugh - February 4, 2012
injuries okay
but i dont need to use that as an excuse for a guy supposedly here to guide us. his ankle has looked fine the last few games, and if its really an issue. its definitely time to move on
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
Curry did not cost us this game
rebounding did
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
ding ding ding!
I’ll say it again, not having a Center for over half the game is beginning to discourage me
kyzah - February 4, 2012
when is kwame coming back...the team can't do without him.
tenkaistar - February 4, 2012
Truth...
We seriously have no rebounding.
Could have gone without Curry jacking up 4 straight bricks to start the OT, though.
warriorsablaze - February 4, 2012
+1
MontaMamba - February 4, 2012
That was a nice run
by the bench in the 4th. Although, that 24-sec violation by Nate was a killer. We had the ball twice tied at 99 and they forgot how to run any plays.
Too bad Curry had to shoot like crap in OT.
disguy - February 4, 2012
Hey guys, we might look back at this game and be happy that we lost when we get Harrison Barnes lol
duballers23 - February 4, 2012
i like your thinking
Monta THE Boss - February 4, 2012
lol
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
I loath losing to the Kings.
123707THIZZ - February 4, 2012
The team is better with NATE running the point. he can actually stay in front of his man, he can penetrade, he can TAKE CARE OF THE BALL
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
I don't appreciate all the Curry trashing
His passing has been an issue ALL YEAR. But he is a great shooter on a rookie contract. He is our future.
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
He sucks.
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
He is one of the top shooters in the NBA
and he’s pretty young
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
LOL what future is that? A PG who cant pass, who cant penetrade who cant guard? Thats a horrible future.
Thats like NASH who cant pass a nd cant penetrate. its Effin ridiculous..
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
No, see
Curry is a SHOOTING GUARD. And he could penetrate if his ankle would heal properly
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
Its anyones guess if and when that will even happen. and Curry guarding SGs would be game over right there. its laughable
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
Monta isn't any better
and if we got a good PG who could defend, we could switch the matchup
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
LOL monta is definitely better at guarding SGs than Curry. Not even close.
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
this
monta is stronger so he can at least stand a chancce in the post if he feels like it , cirry not at all
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
Look
If we could get a good PG who could defend, then it would all be fine
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
Thats asking too much. Klay is fine as our SG of the future.
Monta is a bench player soon. Curry is not the future. He still has value to net us something decent in our positions of need PG and Center.
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
golden state currently 6th worst record
keep the starters together!!!!
starbury_to_s-jaxci2000 - February 4, 2012
where are all the curry haters...
when he is putting up 32..and then 28 and 14……Curry was terrible tonight…But monta was just as bad…Dorrel, Klay, and NATe were awesome….rebounds killed it…turnovers killed it ….Curry did not lose the game by himself…Monta did not lose the game by himself…stop your agendas.
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
monta was not just as bad
he shot better most of the game til OT and at least went harder and looked like he cared.
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
curry was invisible most of the way
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
Monta did not shoot better. he turned the ball over more. he didn’t get assists like curry..
but… hey, at least he looked like he cared.
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
Are you serious? Monta had 5 TO, 3 ast. 4 reb and was -17
Curry did shoot worse but also had 9 ast. and 4 steals. He was also -11 and played 8 minutes less then Monta.
buky - February 4, 2012
6 of those assists came in the 1st qtr
at least half of those were off easy passes to wide open guys , its not like he creates for anyone on all of those. curry also had 5 to’s
he played less minutes cause he got hit, a hit which shouldnt have cause him to go to the locker room, he screwed up OT pretty bad and for someone who we rely on as a big part of the future he must try and grab the reigns of the team at some point and it has never happened . hes a shooter, he needs to shoot, not fade away into the background
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
But still less negative then Monta on the night only -11! That was horrible game for Curry standards but only slightly below average for Monta.
buky - February 4, 2012
We need to Trade Curry while teams still drool over his efficiency.
We need a better PG. Nate is better than Curry at the PG role.
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
ya Nate robinson as your starting nba pointguard is going to get real old real fast...
trading curry is a terrible move…
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
And trade Monta too while we’re at it. Klay has been better than Monta in the SG role.
WYK - February 4, 2012
At least Monta could come in as a 6th man. Curry is best used as trade material at this point to grab us a reall baller.
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
Can we just agree when Curry costs us the game?
People have no problem putting the blame on Monta.
But when its Curry, Monta played a role in it too. Curry shot the first three(?) shots of OT and messed up everything…
If Monta did that, blame would be all on Monta.
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
Rebounding cost us the game
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
Dude we had a chance to win.....at the end of the day it was Curry's poor OT shooting.
He just kept jacking up shots and missing them terribly.
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
if we had rebounded at ALL
we wouldn’t have to rely on curry jacking up shots
there probably wouldnt have even been an OT
Staticlysmic - February 4, 2012
curry + rebounding
people have trouble blaming curry cause hes a 3rd year golden boy high draft pick
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
I like Monta over Curry, but when Monta costs us the game, I won't blame it on Curry.
Just take the reality. The “future of the team” (Curry) is not really the future. And if it is, well then our future sucks.
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
but he didn't...
they got outrebounded 55-36…curry was 4-14 with 11 pts 9 assts 5 turnovers…terrible game…but monta was 7-17 with 5 turnovers…terrible game..but neither of them single handedly cost the game….you get outrebounded by 20 on the road you aren’t winning
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
Curry messed up when it mattered the most, OT. Thus, the game is on him.
I am really tired of everyone being so high on Curry all the time and Monta getting all the flack. Yeah they both sucked, but be honest. Curry messed up this one. I am not afraid to pin the blame on Monta, I just call it how I see it.
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
when it mattered most...
curry sucked in over time, missed the first 3 shots…but why was that mattering most more than the 3rd quarter when they went down 11…when there was turnover after turnover by monta and the bigs couldn’t get a damn rebound….plus no one else made anything with 3 minute left in ot and warriors down 5 after curry missed teh first 3…i saw monta miss a fadeaway and then a 3 right after when the game was still within reach…its obv you have an agenda against curry and are too biased to have your opinion taken seriously
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
Its obvious that you have an agenda as well.
Face the facts, we went into overtime, he lost us the game in overtime.
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
It’s unfortunate that their are people who seem to live to only bash on either Curry or Monta. The crowd that doesn’t even post until one of them screws up.
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
I don't have a problem pinning the blame on either of them.
I am just tired of people bashing Monta every time..
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
last season I think there were actually a lot more people bashing Monta. Seems to really have switched heavily towards Curry this season.
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
They both have been terrible this season.
Monta’s not his usual attacking the basket guy. Don’t know whats wrong.
And Curry does not seem like any kind of future for the Warriors. + His ankle messes things up too.
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
He deserves it. Its up to him now to show us how good he is and he has absolutely failed time and again.
This guy either shoots well so we forget all his deficiencies, or he shoots poorly and is completely exposed.
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
3rd year players need to show lots of improvement
especially a supposed franchise player who holds more value then rondo or CP3….
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
Curry is a GOOD player
He is just put in a bad position because he has to handle the ball so much
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
thn why is he supposed to be our pg?
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
Because we have NO TRUE POINT GUARD
I have talked about this all year – the Dubs need a real point guard.
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
curry is the perfect 6th man
just a good enough ball handler to be a sub combo guard and a shooter. but really nothing else
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
He's not a sixth man. He's too good a shooter
He is a starting SG who probably needs help on defense if he starts on SG. But that can be solved with better team awareness or a good perimeter defender to take the load off him
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
He's too good a shooter
?? Plenty of great shooters come ff the bench
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
Curry is above those shooters though
He shoots so damn efficiently. Plus he’s has vision (just not enough to be a PG). If he could come off more screens and force the defense to make a decision it would be great.
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
Korver?
He’d be so dangerous off the bench where he doesnt have to worry about being a floor general
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
Korver can't create his own shot
Curry can.
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
Curry was put into bad positions
how dare the warriors ask their PG to handle the ball often
Trakrunner - February 4, 2012
He's NOT a PG
If you look at his career his turns the ball over way too much. He is a shooting guard who needs to shoot more.
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
dude i would love it if they use him like ray allen...
i dont feel comfortable with him as PG…
Monta THE Boss - February 4, 2012
a ray allen who cannot defend or penetrade. lol.
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
Guy had 9 assists and 4 to. (and 4 steals mind you)
How dare he not handle the ball well…!
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
Anybody notice Cousins foul in OT was changed to a lose ball foul on Thompson.
Would have been his 6th
dont_stop_believin' - February 4, 2012
*loose
dont_stop_believin' - February 4, 2012
Yes I did
but whatever, Warriors didn’t lost because of that
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
Because it was in OT, I probably agree, but we lost because of Cousins effort on the glass
dont_stop_believin' - February 4, 2012
I'll go ahead and blame Mark Jackson
Cousins had 5 fouls. He should have told Udoh to take it to him and get him out.
disguy - February 4, 2012
Yeah, true.
ugh
true torture - February 4, 2012
I blame MJ because he keeps screwing everyone’s minutes. Can’t just keep having completely minutes.
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
no we need a center
beans is still garbage. no kwame. udoh can play great d but WE CAN’T REBOUND. and we keep giving up second shot opportunities and it’s ridiculous. cuz even if we play a good fg percentage, turnover free, solid 3 pt shooting game, we get killed on boards and it leads to a loss.
killerk968 - February 4, 2012
and where did wright go?
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
Bench was playing well
Besides, it’s either him or Rush unless Mark Jackson wants to go small
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
we did go small and it got us back in the game
nate, klay, rush, dom, udoh
5’9/6’7/6’6/6’8/6’10
Monta THE Boss - February 4, 2012
Well that unit was playing well
So Wright wasn’t coming back
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
go small
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
Mark Jackson is NOT A GOOD COACH.
he was probably trying to think of a new catch phrase during the game.
Monta THE Boss - February 4, 2012
Benched with the rest of the starters. Just lazy coaching imo.
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
rush out
ellis in? seriously?
stepN30 - February 4, 2012 via Android app
Yeah, that made no sense at all. Curry, Ellis and Lee were garbage and Dorell was fantastic. He shouldn’t have had to ride pine because of our pathetic “big three.”
Sleepy Freud - February 4, 2012
the micro 3
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
even facetiously, Lee doesn't deserve to be in the 'big 3'.
123707THIZZ - February 4, 2012
None of them do.
(Except maybe Curry) :-)
Sleepy Freud - February 4, 2012
Rebounding cost us the game
But the bench pretty much gave the starters a chance to win it in OT and they blew it. Horrible game for both Curry and Monta, this ain’t just “one” game Curry will continue his telegraph passes and unable to penetrate, basically useless if his shot ain’t falling. Monta with his bad shot selection and decisions at times when games on the line. They combine for 10 TO, and 2 FT. Where was Lee? Lacob hypes him so much so we can bench him entire 4th and OT when we can’t get a single rebound so we can play Mcguire. Jackson also putted out a terrible Lineup to start OT. Curry, Monta, Klay, Mcguire, Udoh equals no D, no Reb, and Curry missing 3 or 4 shots straight to start it.
Raiiny - February 4, 2012
have a rec sir
Monta THE Boss - February 4, 2012
9 assists 4 TO…….. oh never mind… I give up lol
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
that's not a good stat line for a PG
That’s a 2:1 assist/turnover ratio
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
9/4 is acceptable, especially for Steph. 4-14 shooting is not.
Sleepy Freud - February 4, 2012
I agree that his shooting was the problem tonight
but it’s not like his passing hasn’t been a problem
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
For sure, but this is a game thread: we’re supposed to act as if this the only Warriors game we’ve ever seen!
Sleepy Freud - February 4, 2012
All I want
is a point guard who can average a 3:1 assist/ turnover ratio. I’d even take a 2.5:1 assist/turnover ratio
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
Curry shouldn't have been in the game in OT
We lost for a lot of reasons, but he just shouldn’t have been there. He didn’t deserve to be, and Nate did. Nate played through his injury phenomenally, and Curry walked around like he had just been shot. I’m not even sure if Monta should have been there, but Steph really should have been on the bench. I think I would have actually preferred to just continue with the bench on the court. They played way better than the starters did.
We suck at rebounding. We suck at holding on to the ball. We’re pretty bad on defense. We’re pretty damn good at most other things, but that doesn’t matter when you’re as terrible as we are at those 3.
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
i dont think any of the starters deserved to be in..
but the bench was gassed and nate had an injury or else he probably would have been in….something happened to his groin at the end of regulation and he couldn’t go
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
he came back part way through OT
a groin injury like that only gets harder to play on the more you sit.
maybe they were gassed, but that wouldn’t explain having 3 of them still on the court to start OT
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
i dont mind
ellis or curry in ot…but together? no no no….
stepN30 - February 4, 2012 via Android app
the bench clearly outplayed them
so why not? the results were not good in the second half when either of them were playing
we went on a huge run WITH THE BENCH
we tied the game back up after being down 3 WITH THE BENCH
the starting guards however built that deficit and commandeered the overtime into an ass-whooping by the KIngs
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
Curry, Monta, Klay all playing together is a terrible lineup. Not enough shots for all, no defense, can’t rebound.
Raiiny - February 4, 2012
i hate mark jacksons post game interviews too
i hate him i hate him i hate him i hate him
Monta THE Boss - February 4, 2012
He makes a weird breathing noise! "ooohhhhhggmm"
123707THIZZ - February 4, 2012
Yeah I know
why did we never hear it on TNT
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
sounds like hes having trouble breathing and is gasping for air all the goddamn time
its annoying
Monta THE Boss - February 4, 2012
outrebounded 55-36
wow.
killerk968 - February 4, 2012
how the hell did that idiot tool dmc get 20 rebounds?!
Monta THE Boss - February 4, 2012
how the hell did that idiot tool dmc get 20 rebounds?!
Monta THE Boss - February 4, 2012
Cause he was guarding by power forwards
kyzah - February 4, 2012
True
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
Mark Jackson still thinks Kobe is the best player in the game.
Yeah, maybe that’s not how he really feels, but it’s not like he shows me any evidence of understanding metric stats, efficiency, or anything other than PPG.
true torture - February 4, 2012
I don't know what it is,. but Curry doesn't seem like he has any drive.
Nate played through his groin injury. Curry left like he was dying or something. I just don’t see any heart from the kid. Even Monta, no matter how badly he gets hit, tries to play through everything.
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
Ive thought that for a while now
His rookie year he looked like he really cared , this year he seems bored
dubzfan - February 4, 2012
What are you talking about? Curry flies around the court like a crazed little kid every night. No one plays with more energy than him.
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
No one plays with more energy than him.
Wow. Really?
kyzah - February 4, 2012
I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or you're watching another game.
I will give you the benefit of the doubt and hope that you are just being sarcastic.
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
i dont think he's bored...
i think the ankle injury is haunting him…he seems to be playing scared and hesitant..you can see it on his contested layups…he is missing all of them right now…
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
No chance for all star game, did not make the cut for olympics, too scared to ever drive and go up strong cause of ankle etc.
Raiiny - February 4, 2012
Yeah
It was frustrating to watch as a fan how frequently he went down on that ankle. It must be so much more frustrating for him. It’s got to be getting into his head.
ohcleverhansyou - February 4, 2012
On a positive note...
The logo knew what he was doing with Klay Thompson …What a pick @ 11…wow I’m excited for him…he is going to be GOOD
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
Unfortunately we already have a bunch of shooters
the problem is not whether he is good or not, the problem is that he does not fill a need. Now we definitely need to trade one of our shooters.
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
yup
He is a great shooter on a team of shooters. He doesn’t play better defense then most of them, doesn’t rebound as well as most of them, and can’t create a shot for himself as well as most of them. But he is young and has the potential to get better
kyzah - February 4, 2012
That shooter is Curry. Reason is Klay has all the tools and speed necessary to stay in front of SGs, unlike Curry.
Klay isn’t also standing on a glass ankle that will sooner or later shatter.
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
i think Klay's development = monta expendable..
because steph can actually play pg….klay is a legit 6’6..having a pg/sg of Steph/Klay wil lbe lethal.
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
You still believe Curry can play PG? Im dumbfounded.
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
are you kidding?
of course I do
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
ARE YOU SERIOUS?
He lacks the basic skills that a PG needs, thats taking care of the ball, thats passing accurately, and thats being able to penetrate in order to create openings for teammates. How many times has he failed to do the above>?
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
even during one of his worst performances of the season..
he’s one assist away from a double double…steph is a pg.
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
Thats like Using Monta's assist count (which is close to Curry's) as reasoning that he should be the PG. NOT GONNA HAPPEN. CANNOT HAPPEN.
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
Look at his turnovers
You aren’t supposed to turn the ball over that much as a PG. The “top” PGs usually have a 3:1 assist to turnover ratio. Curry has a 2:1 assist to turnover ratio, which is awful for point guards.
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
Exactly. We are in agreement there.
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
But that is a great ratio for shooting guards
so if he could just be a shooting guard… I’m dreaming, I know. This team has nobody else to handle the ball
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
i think he will develop his game / penetration...
he is just absolutely LETHAL from 3…never thought we would have a guy potentially better at shooting 3s than steph…but Klay is an ASSASSIN….he is showing flashes of taking it to the rack and penetrating /dishing…if he keeps getting better in those areas , he will be the real deal. Having good players, even at the same position, is a great problem to have.
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
Hasn't been that good so far...
true torture - February 4, 2012
Steph gotta show heart like Nate do. Them lazy ass passes aint gone do it. Nate stays out husltling him. Im starting to see why Smart benched him for Acie.
J-RIDAH - February 4, 2012
Okay I admit I have been bashing on Curry today,
but lets not get too far ahead of ourselves. lol
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
Curry no matter what > Acie
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
Curry shooting lefty > Acie
true torture - February 4, 2012
agree
I want to see his competitive fire. I want to see him WANT to win! Someone get him Mike Singletary as a life coach!
Monta THE Boss - February 4, 2012
The film room will not be kind to Curry.
J-RIDAH - February 4, 2012
What's that supposed to mean?
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
Curry had an abysmal game..
but it’s pretty unfair to bash him and let monta slide…Monta absolutely killed the team at the end of the third with his turnovers…both he and Steph had 5 turnovers a piece…that is just unacceptable…cannot have 10 turnovers from your starting backcourt especially on the road…combine that with a -20 rebounding disadvantage and I am shocked they were able to not get blowup out / take it to overtime.
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
blown out
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
lol no one EVER lets Monta slide on anything
kyzah - February 4, 2012
it's pretty obv by this thread that it's the other way around..
everyone calling to trade steph when Monta had a terrible game too
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
i havent looked thoroughly
but I didn’t see anyone say to trade Steph. I saw people say he had a bad game.
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
I for one said to trade Steph. lol
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
scroll up...its there
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
so 1 guy?
you said everyone…
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
Yeah but a bash Curry thread is a rarity on these boards
With that being said, Curry did not lose this game alone I agree. But you saying Thompsen is legit after a couple good games when into a 66 game season where he has CLEARLY had more awful games then great ones….
And you criticize others for agendas?
kyzah - February 4, 2012
believe me...
i’m not saying he’s a guarantee for anything…I was just like everyone else trashing on Klay when he was bricking everything…bUt i’ve done a 360…I really really like what i’m seeing from him lately…could he turn out to be terrible? absolutely…but I just have a feeling that he’s going to be a good pick…he’s too good of a shooter not to be good in this league…he has an elite shooting stroke.
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
I'll say it again
He has had absoltely ABYSMAL shooting games this season, more so then GREAT shooting games.
So what have you seen that makes you think “he has an elite shooting stroke”?
kyzah - February 4, 2012
The past 5-6 games;...ever since the Cleveland game...
or 1-2 games before the cleveland game, Klay has played well every game barring one where he went 1-4 in like 10 minutes
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
so based on a 5-6 game sample size, Klay is an elite shooter
K.
Only problem with that is if you go by the first 5-6 games this season as a sample size, you could argue he should never shoot the ball again.
kyzah - February 4, 2012
ya those are the first 5-6 game of his pro career...
it’s a little different to judge someone on their first 5 games o f the NBA…ever since he got over the NBA jitters, he has been lights out…and his stroke is lethal…i feel comfortable saying that.
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
Your are totally out of your mind. Every thread this season almost has been a bash Curry thread
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
can't see the forest for the trees?
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
is that supposed to make sense?
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
Nope
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
Let’s not forget how horrid Lee was too: 10 pts / 5 reb in 33 minutes, got like five shots blocked, let JT and DMC run totally roughshod.
Sleepy Freud - February 4, 2012
Wow five shots blocked?
Well, the refs weren’t calling anything tonight. Lee isn’t a banger. Of course DMC and JT beat him up.
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
Well, it seemed like five. It may have been two. :-)
Either way, he looked small, weak and ineffectual.
Sleepy Freud - February 4, 2012
He's not a physical player
Refs really hurt him tonight by not calling anything, though that did make the game more fun to watch because there were less stoppages
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
It means when they go back and look at the tape
Mark Jackson is going to have a lot to say to Steph
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
Like don’t shoot the ball anymore late in games. Never mind that you are a superb shooter or anything like that.
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
I don't think those are the things J-Ridah was referring to
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
or don’t make lazy passes?
Staticlysmic - February 4, 2012
You ever see the movie Blue chips when the 1 guy on the team took money to point shave and the coach went back and looked at the film and realized he was half assing to keep the score close? Thats what its gonna look like Curry did tonight.
J-RIDAH - February 4, 2012
I gotta look at the film first
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
we need.....
javale mcgee
Staticlysmic - February 4, 2012
No way
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
I’d take him over the pathetic group of big men we have…
Sleepy Freud - February 4, 2012
From everything I hear, the guy is a head case
plus he’s bad on defense unless he is blocking the shot.
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
Mcgee is not a headcase.
J-RIDAH - February 4, 2012
Hell we definitely need the rebounding.
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
Things I notice tonight..
Tyler has butter fingers
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
so disappointing
what happened? Curry looked sad and depressed the whole time. I wonder if he is having personal problems with his wife pregnant? At one point he had a towel over his head and a hand up supporting his head facing against his team while on the bench. He looks lifeless. I hate how there is no rebounding. it really hurts to be so close and miss this one. klay was great and so were the rest of the bench. Warriors must make some changes, even if they keep the current roster.
picknpop - February 4, 2012
he got hit on his peiwei
it hurts
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
ok
maybe you are right. i hope so. he is too young to look so sad and defeated.
picknpop - February 4, 2012
He sort of looked like this with the blue towel on his head:
Sleepy Freud - February 4, 2012
(Tinky Binky?)
Sleepy Freud - February 4, 2012
LOL
picknpop - February 4, 2012
this game felt like a "coach making a statement to his starters" type of game..
i feel like Mark jackson was more about sending a message to Monta/Steph/Lee by benching them the entire 4th…if he REALLY really wanted the W, he could have brought Monta/Lee/Steph back in towards the end of the game…but he seemed disgusted by the lack of effort, reboudning, turnovers and rewarded the squad that got them back in the game…reminds me of that game in Phoenix when Nellie benched Baron in the 4th , except that was a Must win game.
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
I think we lost the game because of bad rotation
MJ played too many minutes on startes the first 3 Qs
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
TO Machines are back
Curry + Monta = 10 turnovers
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
how can this be fixed?
i am truly amazed each and every time they turn it over. these seem like extremely simple errors that are elementary in nature and should not happen so often. is it a mental thing? are they overly confident? they think it won’t happen to them? WHAT IS IT? I really want someone to explain this to me. i can understand once in a while, but constantly seems like more but I am not sure what it is? are they just not skilled enough?
picknpop - February 4, 2012
I wonder the same thing
His passing has had flashes of brilliance. But he has made that one handed pass again and again for three years. What. The. Hell.
ohcleverhansyou - February 4, 2012
So many lazy pass from Monta tonight. Feel like he made more than 5 TOs.
I don’t think it is fixable, they are TO machines!
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
doesn't lazy get embarrassing at some point?
what is so frustrating is that we all know what they can do. maybe they see their passes as good? surely some coach on the staff can point it out to them if we amateurs can see it clear as day.
picknpop - February 4, 2012
yeah, MJ needs to get upset and kick his butt when he does it the first time
seriously, else Monta will think it is okay.
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
Klay played such good D tonight
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
he was great!
i am so happy for Klay personally. I have loved him from day one. i knew he would perk up. i hope that he can still be happy about his individual accomplishments tonight. i know he is very hard on himself and has trouble with emotions. hopefully his dad or brother will call him and praise him. i think klay suffers from being overly self-critical. he is his own worst enemy. i just get that sense from him through interviews and body language. he has some issues with his dad, i think.
picknpop - February 4, 2012
curry
wants to leav gsw and go to charl and that is what will happen!!!
stayedupto - February 4, 2012
hope not...
either means Charles Jenkins is our starting pg in 2014 or DJ augustine and Boris diaw are future warriors
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
If they give us their next 2 first rounders that can definitely happen.
true torture - February 4, 2012
Why would anyone want to go to Charlotte?
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
because they live there?

all of their family is there?

I'll also leave this article here

Steph saying he would like to play for the Bobcats at some point in his career
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
maybe that is what it is
homesick and just over the bay area? i really have a feeling it has to do with his wife. she may not want to be so far from her mom and family when the baby arrives. i just have a hunch what he is struggling with is personal, but it is just a hunch. each loss affirms his desire to just go back home. think about it- this is the first time he left home as he played college nearby where he grew up.
this might be just too much of a change for him without the pay off of enough wins.
picknpop - February 4, 2012
His wife aint feeling the Bay.
J-RIDAH - February 4, 2012
oh. i knew it was something like that.
picknpop - February 4, 2012
I was thinking about what a bad team that is
Then I remember what team Curry plays for now and it makes more sense.
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
Trade . . .
Monta. For every good thing he does, there are 3+ more things that cost us possessions. I know it was not his fault for this loss but in the overall scheme of things, we need to get rid of his isolation plays. Those isolation plays simply do not work for a weak defensive-rebounding team. Also, we should have stayed with our bench, granted they might have been tired, they showed way more emotion and desire to make plays that counted. Though, they also committed stupid turnovers . . . sigh what am I saying? sigh the life of a Warrior fan. sigh x2
insanenthemembrane - February 4, 2012
There will always be isolation plays
Sometimes the clock will run down and someone will need to create a shot
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
I don't remember seeing a ton of Monta iso this game
kyzah - February 4, 2012
I don't either. I think hes talking about iso plays in general, but at the end of the day, someone at some time has to take those.
GSW_fan - February 4, 2012
Yes
iso plays in general. I just don’t think he’s strong enough to be an isolation player against a starting five. Now, put him in iso’s against second unit, now we are talking. In short, I would have Monta and B.Rush the first of the bench – together. Instant offense and pretty good D from B.Rush. Win-Win situation. I would probably get crap for sitting Monta but I honestly think it will win us more games. Monta against a second unit on any team.
insanenthemembrane - February 4, 2012
depends who it is for...
i would probably wait but start playing klay 20-25 minutes a night to see how he improves….but you got to get something decent for monta…he is one of our few big assets that if we were to trade him, must get something better than middling vet/cap space/young non-impactful talent (Jonny Flynn types)
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
I was hoping to see Curry + Klay at backcourt in overtime
.. make more sense than putting Curry + Monta at backcourt since Monta can’t stop Evans. And, what’s up with benching DW in OT? I thought he is hot??
It is MJ’s fault.
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
Speculation on my part
Jackson decided he wanted to go with bench cause the starters (other then Wright) were playing poorly. He kept Wright out in order to keep chemistry among the bench unit. But ya….Wright was lethal the first quarter I think it was a bad call by Jackson
kyzah - February 4, 2012
first half I meant
kyzah - February 4, 2012
I was talking about during the OT
Doesn’t make sense to put Curry and Monta bad with DW is hot. Curry, Klay, DW makes more sense.
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
no
nate klay and wright or rush makes more sense
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
Nate was hurt
I can tell..
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
Nate pulled his muscle or something at the end of 4th.
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
then why did he play in OT?
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
Nate? yeah, he played at the end of OT and made airball...
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
i thought your argument was he was out because he was hurt…
and that’s kinda what happens when you put guys that are cold onto the court, especially those with a groin injury that only gets harder to play with the more you sit on the bench
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
he was sent back in the last couple minutes of OT and played like he was hurt. another questionable coaching decision.
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
definitely
but groin injurys get harder and harder to play with if you’re on the bench. you have to keep moving. he should have been out there to start.
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
exactly. plus the chance of further injury.
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
Steph was hurt too...?
further chance for injury there
Nate was playing better, and if you’re going to play him at all, it’s best to not have him rest at all.
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
yeah, MJ shouldn't have done that
I guess MJ was hoping Nate is still on fire to save his butt.
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
he shouldn't have put Curry out there in the first place
Nate played most of the quarter hurt. He would have been fine.
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
I think Curry went in because Nate went to the locker room for a bit at the end of regulation.
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
did he?
i thought I saw him on the bench. I guess we’ll find out eventually
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
gswscribe said that Nate did go to the locker room holding his groin
but Nate came back out.
IQofaWarrior - February 4, 2012
ahhhhh
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
yeah, Nate did
At the end of overtime, he can’t even walk straight. I have no idea why MJ did that.
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
saw that too although he is such a trooper he would never let on
at least he has some fire when he plays. it is inspiring to me personally, even if it does not result in a basket. he seems so into it. some of the others guys look so sleepy.
picknpop - February 4, 2012
Pretty much what you said about Monta can be said about Curry.
I’m not opposed to trading either. Curry should get us something better though.
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
Warriors Facebook group has dubbed them
The “Dubstitutes.” Not sure how I feel about this branding of the bench squad. I guess it’s better than calling Lee-Ellis-Curry the “Big Three.”
ohcleverhansyou - February 4, 2012
Some TV announcer called them the dubstitutes a couple weeks back..
cybermaldonado - February 4, 2012
The Big Three: Only one may have a good game at a time, or all must suck. It is the law.

insanenthemembrane - February 4, 2012
If trades are to be made...
it should be all of them.
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
I'd trade anyone on this team for a quality starting center
Truth
kyzah - February 4, 2012
By the beginning next season I think Charles Jenkins would be better at the PG than Curry.
3 years of Curry and Monta as the back court. 3 years of losing. Time to blow everything up. One of them can stay as a mid salary 6th man.
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
I'm out...leave with my final points....even though it is minority of the fanbase on here...
Steph is a pg….I’ve seen enough of this team with Monta as #1 option…he has shown for 3 + years he can’t carry a team to the playoffs…time to hand the SG spot over to Klay and the #1 option to Steph Curry and see what they can do…there I said it…Trade Monta, he will never be an all star and this team won’t make the playoffs with him as the “franchise player”..Till next time, I’m out Curry haters and Monta Fanboys….GG SAC
JimBarnett2KevinGarnett - February 4, 2012
keep
monta. Start him off the bench. Lethal.
insanenthemembrane - February 4, 2012
Ok sounds good. Lets run the offense through Curry like we've been doing, and hope he makes a 180.
Im all seriousness, time is ticking for Steph Curry. He has at most the rest of this season to start taking better care of the ball and playing like a PG should.
As for Monta, no question, he is destined to be a bench player by 2013. A good one too.
MonstaEllis - February 4, 2012
I honestly think
He just differs to much to an other player (Monta).
insanenthemembrane - February 4, 2012
Well, if we only play Curry or only play Monta
At least we can cut our turnover by 50%. Sounds like a plan
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
good math
hey if we play neither we won’t make any TOs…
oh wait, it doesn’t work like that
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
humm.. I think it works
at least the bench helped to tie the game on the 4th
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
oh hell
maybe it does work. i dont know anymore
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
Look! Nate + Klay played 23 minutes with 0 turnover on the 4th. Doesn’t that make life happier??
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
it did for a while
then steph and monta came back
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
did what?
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
make life happier
Brownie13 - February 4, 2012
oh, you mean the life is happier part?
yeah… then Curry + Monta came back, more TOs!
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
make life happier?
picknpop - February 4, 2012
jeremy tyler
i feel bad for him. i think he seems like a nice kid and was given extremely poor advice to skip his senior year and then go overseas where he did not do well. i think anyone would see that as too much of a gamble. senior year is important on a personal level, too, with graduation and getting a diploma. i am so shocked his parents gave the OK on that one. Dumbest move ever. now he has to pay with that for the rest of his life and has tons of basketball to make up for too. his butter fingers made me sad for him because i could see how hard he was trying. it was heart breaking.
picknpop - February 4, 2012
Yeah
Honestly it’s better for a player to go to college and get the experience.
As a side note, apparently the NBA is talking about a rule where players can declare for the NBA right after high school, but will have to stay in college for at least two years if they don’t.
doubleteapot - February 4, 2012
I think Tyler is too offense focus
Monta does lazy pass and Tyler does the lazy rebounding. It is not that hard to grab the rebound and secure it. I think Tyler just can’t wait to do offense move such as pass or shot the ball.
ILoveWarriorsGirls - February 4, 2012
again with the theme of laziness...
i wonder how they can get rid of the pattern of being lazy. maybe it just has to come from within and if it is not there, it never will be. i am beginning to feel that way. i mean as a rookie, how can you be lazy? mistakes, yes, but lazy rebounding is just not good. maybe bad habits from the vets? i really want to figure out what is going on with these guys. so close but no cigar often is really just heartbreaking.
picknpop - February 4, 2012

dubzfan - February 5, 2012

Brownie13 - February 5, 2012
oh, ok. you are right. i didn't realize that about the indentations. thanks!
picknpop - February 6, 2012
that sounds like a good rule to me
two years is a good amount of time to gain basketball skills, have time to mess up a little, and have some fun with friends and grow socially. although these guys get paid a ton of money, they do have lots and lots of pressure that is not fun to deal with no matter who you are. they need to thicken their skin in college where it does not mean as much as in the nba.
