How about Okafor? Good-but-overpaid, defensive-minded, playing for a team that should be in the midst of a complete rebuild. I would love to see a straight-up Monta-for-Okafor swap. Udoh and Okafor, two guys with Nigerian roots, one from Texas and one from Oklahoma, could be a pretty intriguing big man combo. Together they might even provide enough D to offset Lee’s lack thereof.

From NO’s perspective: well, Monta’s from near New Orleans, is three years younger than Okafor, $2-3M cheaper, and much “sexier” in ESPN highlight-reel terms — something that might have value for a team with close to zero star power (and Eric Gordon about to become a RFA). C’mon, Riley … at least pick up the phone!

Will Lacob accept that he has to pay bigs inflated deals, or will he continue to look for ‘values’ like he did in his venture capital days ?
