For sure. And thanks for the link to that awesome blog! I had read the Nate Silver piece in the NYT, but had never visited flowingdata before. As a big infographics fan and devotee of Edward Tufte, I’m definitely going to hang out there more often!
I learned about it from during the financial crisis when they had a contest for who could describe the mortgage mess with graphics the best. Good one to subscribe to.
Grueling schedule even for players used to playing starter minutes.
In the 2nd half against ‘wolves, Lin looked shot. Back to Back & going from East Coast to West Coast is killer. Knicks also lacking in PG depth to give Lin a serious rest. Which makes sense because it’s the lack of PG depth which gave Lin the opportunity to shine.
My own guess/theory is that this regular season schedule will wear down rookies and people that just turned into starters (like Lin) much faster than normal. I’d love to be wrong though because watching Lin & the Knicks has been exciting.
Lin doesn’t want a rest… afraid he might not get another chance to explode and get cut again. Fact is, he’s only played 6 games this season so he should be rested. But yes, he was tired against minnie.
His biggest weakness has always been shooting. It won't last.
I know he’s been working on his shot like crazy, but I still believe he’ll snap back to reality and begin shooting at a less than average percentage thus becoming the bench player he was meant to be.
Actually, it’s over at 4. 33% is less than 50%. :-(

Too many minutes
I think Lin is playing way too many minutes, and they sorta need Melo to help them close game when Lin is exhausted from driving to the hole

Last night was just a case of Lin finally being defended half-decently.
