Last year, it would have been Reggie and a burried three...Wright looked at it..
That is a play they run….Monta would have looked for the guy with open shot, but had nor room because he was defended perfectly, he dumped to Lee, who immediately went out to Wright. The shot was Wright’s…
You guys back off Biedrens!!
That was the correct play. Driving into triple coverage?? Jump shot against a bigger defender? Who do you think he is, Monta?
I'm going to echo something Steinmetz said (I just posted this on Evanz thread)
The Kwame injury hurt. A lot. Say what you want about him, but he was providing something critical thing that the Warriors have traditionally lacked; SIZE. I think now more than most years in the past, the utter lack of any effect at the 5 is glaring.
With Kwame Brown in the lineup as it currently stands, even having missed Curry for some time, I think thing would be vastly different.
I've actually got this game on local broadcast in Seattle
Unfortunately, it’s coming from PDX, not CSNBA. The announcers are a bit nervous about this game, they keep complaining about how they hate making the trip to Oakland ha ha
Every other commercial on the PDX broadcast has Elmo in it
Must be the only way to communicate effectively to Oregonians. Hopefully Elmo makes a commercial about staying the hell out of the left lane if you’re not passing or speeding next time.
Not liking how quiet the starters started this game
I think part of the problem is that the starting lineup just has no swag. Nobody has attitude, swagger, nobody wants to set the tone and have everyone else follow.
I was wondering because I’m reselling the games I can’t make it to down there, and the Boston, Chicago, and Orlando games sold right away… Clippers game has yet to sell.
Exactly my point....other than Monta's assists, I believe Lee had one, the rest of the starting five, including the PG that should be running the team, have zilch assists..
PG will normally get a bunch of defensive rebounds...
Monta usually gets a few rebounds and offensive on or two per game…he is not afraid to mix it up in there….My comments was not intended to differentiate between the capabilities of the two….Just pointing out how screwed up this team is…
Monta usually gets 3 rebounds a game, which is kinda really bad for the minutes he plays. I didn’t mean to start this argument though, just point out a weird incongruency in the box score. You’d expect your SG to be better at than your PG.
Oh, come off it Randy...Monta has been playing Everything Guard while Curry was hurt, and even pulled in 10 rebounds one night...I think he can out-rebounbd the shit out of Curry if needed, if, that is what you want to extract from me
My point was that this team is screwed up, not that any guard is better than the other…
I realize I shouldn’t have said anything cause I know I can’t comment on this issue without it seeming a little political. Still, Monta is objectively an awful rebounder and just cause he grabs 10 in a game doesn’t change that. To say that he could be a better rebounder than Curry is to go against reality. He’s doing a great job as the tank commander, so I’m thankful for that.
Getting back to my point, something sucks with a team that ur starting PG gets his first assist 3secs before half...and your SG has 4 assists/less shots
No, you misunderstand. You didn’t make an argument that’s worth talking about. If you mentioned Kyrie’s efficiency, Rubio’s lack of efficiency, really anything else, I would have responded. Instead, you chose to make the most asinine argument about Rubio that I didn’t want to waste my time. Frankly, that you think that’s a good argument makes me not want to waste my time hashing this out with you.
I didn’t agree with anything. Stop making up things.
Rubio is already an elite passer. He’s probably a better passer than Kyrie will ever be. That’s my main thing. He’s also a better rebounder and defensive player than Kyrie is. He’s more complete right now in part because of his crazy experience.
Kyrie is a better scorer. He’s a really good scorer though. That’s the only reason to take him.
Or, the way you would put it, the only way you’d take Kyrie is if you fall in love with his PPGZ.
but he got Luke Ridnour on that roster. Some nights when Rubio is struggling Ridnour step up. Wait until Barea came back from injury. Kyrie nothing on his back. I believe someday Rubio will be MVP on these league but ROY is Kyrie
So because Rubio has some not awful teammates, he’s somehow less good than he would be otherwise? ROY isn’t like MVP for rookies. ROY is best rookie. Team quality doesn’t matter. Rubio’s individual play has been higher than Kyrie. He’s an elite passer, an effective defender and a good rebounder. He’s not efficient, but he’s a better shooter than expected.
Kyrie could very well be a better player. Rubio is 21(?) and Kyrie is 19. He has passing upside and is already a very good scorer/shooter. Up to this point, however, he’s worse at most of the game than Rubio. Not much of a defender (rookies never are, Rubio is barely a rookie), not a special passer, not remarkable at rebounding, etc. Rubio is a lot more than fancy passes or playing with Kevin Love. Saying that he is just makes you look kind of ignorant.
I don’t get why “carrying a team” is relevant to a ROY discussion. That’s almost never been a consideration for ROY votes. When Curry was a rookie, he finished second despite playing with a high scoring Monta. If Tyreke had scored .5 PPG fewer, Curry would have won.. That’s an MVP argument, not a ROY argument. My contention is that Rubio has outplayed Kyrie. He’s played better than him all but 1 area of the game.
For sure, Kyrie has been a very good scorer and Rubio has been kind of bad. I would also point to the difference between their passing. Irving has been pretty underwhelming, where Rubio is next level.
You’re barely speaking English and I’m the one having a hard time? hahha, you clearly don’t know how to make an argument. It’s kinda bad, dude. Are you still in highschool?
on replying I said in the first place this is a Troll thread. And I don’t care if you got a better vocabulary than me. all that matter is I understand english but you don’t understand my language.
Why are you so fixated on that? Did you realize your argument about Kyrie was so offensively bad that you just had to find a weird thing to beat me on? It has nothing to do with anything. It’s cool that you know English, but it behooves you to speak the language. When you count secondary languages, it’s the most widely spoken language in the world.
No, Tyreke got ROY because of the mythic 20-5-5 statline. He was being compared to LeBron, MJ and Oscar Robertson. He carried a team to like 20 wins that year. Why should he get credit for being the best player on a really really bad team? The only reason that the Kevin Martin trade helped him get ROY is because it got him more touches.
The Knicks are awful, man. I don’t know why they matter.
This is what I’m talking about when I say you don’t know how to argue. You’re jumping all over the place, your statements are unclear, your arguments aren’t remotely cogent. Come on, man.
i find it surprising that kyrie is only playing 27 mins/game
i don’t think there’s that big of a difference in their rebounding, once you factor in minnesota’s faster pace and rubio playing more minutes. rubio is probably a marginally better rebounder.
before they signed Dalembert who has about an equally atrocious post game as Beans but he actually tries to drive and dunk or attempt 5 foot hooks, etc
Not to be “hey look, he had a good game so he’s good” but this is an example of the kind of stuff I was talking about the other night on here. The defense he plays is just so good.
EXCELLENT shooting night by steph, EXCELLENT passing night by ellis, EXCELLENT all around effort by lee, and i cant believe im saying this but UDOH WAS FREAKIN GREAT THIS GAME.
Andris Biedrins is fouling at a high rate, but Reggie Evans and Aaron Gray actually foul at a higher rate than him. Ekpe Udoh and Cousins are exactly in line with him, and there are a lot of guys in the same range as him.
at stinking. I knew all that hype about this being a different season for him wouldn’t last long. Unfortunately, they are stuck with him until that bloated contract of his is up.
i liked was how he seemed to care a lot about taking care of the possession and minimizing his mistakes. when he makes good decisions, the team definitely is better with him on the floor.
Ekpe is a damn good defender. I think he should get more credit for it. When defending power forwards he always gives them fits in the post. I know Monroe puts up the points but defense like his should be celebrated.
you are absolutely right. he is really good and defending power forwards.
luckily the matchup today with camby nonexistent on offense, allowed us to get away with having dlee at center. but what happens when we need someone to guard center? i WISH ekpe bulked up.
now the problem is, if ekpe is in the game for defense, we wont have dlee to score like he did today. ekpe is definitely not even close offensively. what a dilemma. is it not?
It’s about the fact the bay (for all it’s ‘diversity’) is simply more segregated than the rest of the country.
I’m sorry, I’ve been to NY, Chicago a bunch for work, but I don’t know what it is, being in Dallas made me really realize it. It’s simply not as diverse
Dude at the bar I was talking to while watching warriors game and LAC/LAL game gave me free passes to a club. I said no (cause I have a meeting in 6 hours, but still)
it would be plumbing new depths, to lose at home to a team playing its third consecutive night. winning through perimeter shooting, failing to get free throws, nice ball movement and assist to shot ratio, passable d against a road weary team ; a mixed bag for a win. tyler getting some meaningful minutes, and rush superseding wright, hopeful signs.
Does this thread have a Warriors win?

at least he should try or some post up hook
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
Yeah, the key word being TRY

You have to think the Warriors are going to come out like junkyard dogs
The Warriors need to act like wounded wolverines and just come out to tear some ass tonight. Win or lose, they should be down to scrap.

Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
and i thought it was way too early for a 2 for 1 shot like that
kyzah - January 25, 2012
Tyler time
Interesting….he’s only gonna get these 20 seconds I guess
Badly Browned - January 25, 2012
Maybe he need to hack someone
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
We bring him in for those high-pressure situations.

Badly Browned - January 25, 2012
oof, somehow, we're only down 1
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
Monta STILL passed in the air
123707THIZZ - January 25, 2012
It almost seems like that’s the only way he knows how to pass.

pax217 - January 25, 2012
One thing I am scared of is...
A Jamal Crawford 4 point play.
ROMESdavidWOOD37 - January 25, 2012
I love how Rush looked at Crawford on the floor like
“Get the hell up, I didn’t touch ya” lol
Potential - January 25, 2012
lolll
ROMESdavidWOOD37 - January 25, 2012
Every other commercial on the PDX broadcast has Elmo in it
Must be the only way to communicate effectively to Oregonians. Hopefully Elmo makes a commercial about staying the hell out of the left lane if you’re not passing or speeding next time.
pax217 - January 25, 2012
Not liking how quiet the starters started this game
I think part of the problem is that the starting lineup just has no swag. Nobody has attitude, swagger, nobody wants to set the tone and have everyone else follow.

Killjoy - January 25, 2012
Whoa
What a pass lol
Badly Browned - January 25, 2012
As I watch the bench crew play, it occurs to me
The bench looks so much more smooth offensively then the starters. Like they actually practice offense
kyzah - January 25, 2012
Udoh off the glass pass FTW
dubzfan - January 25, 2012
Backboard pass

Butterknuckles - January 25, 2012
Agree
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
Nate Rob?
pax217 - January 25, 2012
no it shouldnt
we just need a better starting lineup, but these guys are bench players
kyzah - January 25, 2012
Rush should be the starting SF
Evanz - January 25, 2012
Bingo
Butterknuckles - January 25, 2012
You got a point
but he also bring scoring off the bench Im sure Dwrong wont
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
Then what’s the point of having DWright at all, man?
Evanz - January 25, 2012
perimeter defense
and some pump fakes.
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
Rush is a better defender, too
Evanz - January 25, 2012
But if you bring Dwright
off the bench he can’t spark the Bench like Rush
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
you could apply this logic to any starter
Of course, I would bring Monta off the bench for that reason
Evanz - January 25, 2012
He can help on rebounding too
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
+1!
123707THIZZ - January 25, 2012
Why so serious?
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
except curry and monta for klay and nate
otherwise yeah, tyler looks better then biedrins early and lee is just lee
dubzfan - January 25, 2012
sad transition d
Killjoy - January 25, 2012
Tyler and udoh together > Lee and Biedrins
dubzfan - January 25, 2012

I have some friends down south who are Clippers fans and they are pretty stoked right now.
Tremendous Hops - January 25, 2012

At the half, our starting PG has 0 assist, our starting SG, has 4 assists...what's wrong with that picture....
dinohealth - January 25, 2012
Our starting PG must not be as good as our starting SG
pax217 - January 25, 2012
lol
dinohealth - January 25, 2012
Huh?
Curry should have at least that assist to DLee at the end of the half?
Badly Browned - January 25, 2012
And despite all that
Nate played PG over both of them in the 2nd Qtr lol
Badly Browned - January 25, 2012
Exactly my point....other than Monta's assists, I believe Lee had one, the rest of the starting five, including the PG that should be running the team, have zilch assists..
dinohealth - January 25, 2012
if he got it, it must have been the last 32 seconds, because that is when i went to check the stats...
dinohealth - January 25, 2012
yep. 3 seconds left.
itsAteamGAME - January 25, 2012
OK, tx...still, not to swift when the SG is assisting, the PG is shooting, and so forth...lol
dinohealth - January 25, 2012
Also weird when your PG is way better than your SG at rebounding.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
PG will normally get a bunch of defensive rebounds...
Monta usually gets a few rebounds and offensive on or two per game…he is not afraid to mix it up in there….My comments was not intended to differentiate between the capabilities of the two….Just pointing out how screwed up this team is…
dinohealth - January 25, 2012
Monta usually gets 3 rebounds a game, which is kinda really bad for the minutes he plays. I didn’t mean to start this argument though, just point out a weird incongruency in the box score. You’d expect your SG to be better at than your PG.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
Oh, come off it Randy...Monta has been playing Everything Guard while Curry was hurt, and even pulled in 10 rebounds one night...I think he can out-rebounbd the shit out of Curry if needed, if, that is what you want to extract from me
My point was that this team is screwed up, not that any guard is better than the other…
dinohealth - January 25, 2012
I realize I shouldn’t have said anything cause I know I can’t comment on this issue without it seeming a little political. Still, Monta is objectively an awful rebounder and just cause he grabs 10 in a game doesn’t change that. To say that he could be a better rebounder than Curry is to go against reality. He’s doing a great job as the tank commander, so I’m thankful for that.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
Getting back to my point, something sucks with a team that ur starting PG gets his first assist 3secs before half...and your SG has 4 assists/less shots
dinohealth - January 25, 2012
I’ll take that over like the Lakers situation where Derek Fisher gets 1 assist while shooting 3/10 haha.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
Good game in LA
pax217 - January 25, 2012

I wish he'd play a little frustrated on offense
He needs to go to the rim, lay somebody out, get a charge and a T. The next time he sees that defender, maybe he will have earned a little respect.

Melo-Amar’e was pretty much the worst basketball idea I’ve ever heard.

ayeyoJERM - January 25, 2012
That Kyrie Irving kid is a pretty good player.
WYK - January 25, 2012
ROY
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
Rubio tho…
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
Here we go again
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
Again? I haven’t had this discussion on this site at all.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
But I did
so it is like Troll
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
Anyway Rubio got Love
Kyrie bunch of role player
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
That argument is so bad it isn’t worth talking about.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
kyrie's efficiency is just too good to overlook given the amount of defensive attention he gets
bigkino217 - January 25, 2012
No doubt Kyrie is good, I’ve just fallen in love with Rubio. His game is pure basketball joy.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
it's definitely more fun to watch minny than cleveland
bigkino217 - January 25, 2012
You just fall in love with
his fancy passing and stuff but Kyrie carry the whole Cavs team
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
Then you agreed
that Kyrie for ROY you got no argument.
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
No, you misunderstand. You didn’t make an argument that’s worth talking about. If you mentioned Kyrie’s efficiency, Rubio’s lack of efficiency, really anything else, I would have responded. Instead, you chose to make the most asinine argument about Rubio that I didn’t want to waste my time. Frankly, that you think that’s a good argument makes me not want to waste my time hashing this out with you.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
No you just got nothing to say
and you agreed that Kyrie gonna be ROY unless you just fall in love with his pretty fancy passes
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
what are you even talking about dude?
bigkino217 - January 25, 2012
I didn’t agree with anything. Stop making up things.
Rubio is already an elite passer. He’s probably a better passer than Kyrie will ever be. That’s my main thing. He’s also a better rebounder and defensive player than Kyrie is. He’s more complete right now in part because of his crazy experience.
Kyrie is a better scorer. He’s a really good scorer though. That’s the only reason to take him.
Or, the way you would put it, the only way you’d take Kyrie is if you fall in love with his PPGZ.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
I agreed with his Passing and playmaking
but he got Luke Ridnour on that roster. Some nights when Rubio is struggling Ridnour step up. Wait until Barea came back from injury. Kyrie nothing on his back. I believe someday Rubio will be MVP on these league but ROY is Kyrie
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
Well take out Love out of the
Wolves Im sure they gonna start losing game. So Rubio is not carrying the team Love does.
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
thats why he got 4 years 62 mil
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
I don’t get why “carrying a team” is relevant to a ROY discussion. That’s almost never been a consideration for ROY votes. When Curry was a rookie, he finished second despite playing with a high scoring Monta. If Tyreke had scored .5 PPG fewer, Curry would have won.. That’s an MVP argument, not a ROY argument. My contention is that Rubio has outplayed Kyrie. He’s played better than him all but 1 area of the game.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
i'd argue that that one area is by a pretty staggering amount though lol
bigkino217 - January 25, 2012
For sure, Kyrie has been a very good scorer and Rubio has been kind of bad. I would also point to the difference between their passing. Irving has been pretty underwhelming, where Rubio is next level.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
that is actually one area where i think kyrie would benefit from better teammates
the other being turnovers
bigkino217 - January 25, 2012
Tyreke ROY
of that year because he carry Sac Town Martin got trade. Curry 2nd Monta Got injured almost out for 3 months. Amnesia?
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
english please?
bigkino217 - January 25, 2012
Lol
no I cant arguing and watching the game at the same time is hard
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
Arguing in general seems kinda hard for you…
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
Yeah I know
you are having a hard time
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
You’re barely speaking English and I’m the one having a hard time? hahha, you clearly don’t know how to make an argument. It’s kinda bad, dude. Are you still in highschool?
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
Let see you speak my language Filipino.
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
Why would I? Until the Phillipines become a top 5 world economy, I’ll just continue learning Japanese.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
Then be thankful
I am talking to you in english. So you don’t have to learn my language. Im doing you a favor here lol.
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
No, you really aren’t. I’d be much better off if I wasn’t talking to you.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
Then why are you keep
on replying I said in the first place this is a Troll thread. And I don’t care if you got a better vocabulary than me. all that matter is I understand english but you don’t understand my language.
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
I don’t really think that matters. I don’t know what situation has me benefit significantly from speaking Filipino.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
I thought it was Tagalog?
Brownie13 - January 25, 2012
Well tagalog is one of our language
we got a lot of dialect
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
lol okay
i guess every filipino Ive ever known well has just spoken the same dialect
Brownie13 - January 25, 2012
tagalog is just a regional dialect
filipino and english are the official languages.
bigkino217 - January 25, 2012
I didn’t know that. I have a friend who is Filipino and she says th
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
woops
she knows tagalog, so I assumed that was the language. Good to know.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
actually i just looked it up
apparently there are different dialects of the tagalog language and filipino is just the one that’s considered the national language
bigkino217 - January 25, 2012
Oh really
then next time you might reply back in tagalog. She can teach you one or two words. Then we are even.
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
Why are you so fixated on that? Did you realize your argument about Kyrie was so offensively bad that you just had to find a weird thing to beat me on? It has nothing to do with anything. It’s cool that you know English, but it behooves you to speak the language. When you count secondary languages, it’s the most widely spoken language in the world.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
First of all It is too early to tell who will be the ROY. Unless the Wolves make the playoffs. And traded Ridnour. I don’t see Rubio as a ROY.
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
And you are the one who insulted
me personally. And my country man. You might be a english teacher. But be careful on insulting people on the internet.
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
No, Tyreke got ROY because of the mythic 20-5-5 statline. He was being compared to LeBron, MJ and Oscar Robertson. He carried a team to like 20 wins that year. Why should he get credit for being the best player on a really really bad team? The only reason that the Kevin Martin trade helped him get ROY is because it got him more touches.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
Let see Cavs
got a better record than the Knicks right now. Last year they got the worst record. So tell me the Tyreke analogy
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
the knicks are terrible
bigkino217 - January 25, 2012
been cleaning up picking against them all season
vegas thinks they’re good for some reason.
bigkino217 - January 25, 2012
The Knicks are awful, man. I don’t know why they matter.
This is what I’m talking about when I say you don’t know how to argue. You’re jumping all over the place, your statements are unclear, your arguments aren’t remotely cogent. Come on, man.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
It means that
Cavs is better team than last year right?
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
varejao has been just as much a part of that as kyrie
bigkino217 - January 25, 2012
Yeah, but they were the worst team ever last year. Kyrie can be good without being as good as Ricky Rubio. Pretty sure there’s a syllogism about that.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
i find it surprising that kyrie is only playing 27 mins/game
i don’t think there’s that big of a difference in their rebounding, once you factor in minnesota’s faster pace and rubio playing more minutes. rubio is probably a marginally better rebounder.
bigkino217 - January 25, 2012
Wow, only 27 minutes? That’s insanely low.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
yea i think i heard something like his conditioning was pretty bad coming out of the lockout
bigkino217 - January 25, 2012
OH RICKY YOUR SO FINE, YOUR SO FINE THAT YOU BLOW MY MIND. HEY RICKY *clap clap clap*
ayeyoJERM - January 25, 2012

Butterknuckles - January 25, 2012

Tremendous Hops - January 25, 2012
Ekpe is playing well
doubleteapot - January 25, 2012
Ugh, feed died
Badly Browned - January 25, 2012
Monta threw up some junk.
LuvDubs - January 25, 2012
When will you attack the basket
Monta
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
when he grows 3 more inches
starbury_to_s-jaxci2000 - January 25, 2012
We're lucky Wallace missed
He had great position
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
fatigue
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
Curry clutch 2
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
Live and die

mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
It's all we got
DLee and Monta are our best post up guys
Badly Browned - January 25, 2012
There’s also layups and dunks.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
Ok
Monta and Dlee are our best guys inside :D
Badly Browned - January 25, 2012
A monta 3? Why?\
123707THIZZ - January 25, 2012
the play fell apart when lee had the ball knocked away
kyzah - January 25, 2012
shot clock
dubzfan - January 25, 2012
Definitely not Monta's night shooting
that was a bad miss, too
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
Blazers keep going to Aldridge
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
Curry creating for Lee
nice!
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
Is it me
Or has DLee’s jumper been flat these last couple games?
Badly Browned - January 25, 2012
That barely cleared the rim.
LuvDubs - January 25, 2012
Did it go in?
Tremendous Hops - January 25, 2012
yes
bigkino217 - January 25, 2012
Still flat jerk
LuvDubs - January 25, 2012
Jerk?
I take exception to that. I am an asshole. Please get it right.
Tremendous Hops - January 25, 2012
Everyone on the team shoots knuckleballs except for Curry and Klay.
WYK - January 25, 2012
Get a couple of more stops and we win
ayeyoJERM - January 25, 2012
Awesome game dudes!
………….now blow it.
Butterknuckles - January 25, 2012
Yes please,
LuvDubs - January 25, 2012
is it just me or is there some jackie chan thing in the background of the stream?
dsham001 - January 25, 2012
I like the Primus on the NBA commercial
Tremendous Hops - January 25, 2012
Ooooof, Monta got caught in the air again
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
Monta can't possibly be this stupid, can he?
123707THIZZ - January 25, 2012
Udoh has been solid on the glass today.
Also: Monta, that’s why they teach you not to jump and pass.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
Udoh has more boards than DLee
Badly Browned - January 25, 2012
That's why you dont jump and pass goddamn it
Badly Browned - January 25, 2012
Monta gonna log 40 minutes
kyzah - January 25, 2012
Fatigue might be setting in for the Blazers
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
Don't foul if they're tired!
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
I'm @ this game and it won't show much in the stat sheet, but
Ekpe = pure defense against LMA (and some others)
cam3racks - January 25, 2012 via mobile
yep
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
Not to be “hey look, he had a good game so he’s good” but this is an example of the kind of stuff I was talking about the other night on here. The defense he plays is just so good.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
Yes
doubleteapot - January 25, 2012
Running out on the Blazers worked
doubleteapot - January 25, 2012
another steller game by beans
kyzah - January 25, 2012
Gotta love it when Crawford forces his shots… when he’s cold, he’s very very cold.
WYK - January 25, 2012
unless this goes to overtime, monta is only warrior with over 40 minutes
kyzah - January 25, 2012
it's amazing that Lee has 26 pts
he just accumulates them quietly
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
damn how are we doing well today?
i know curry’s red hot from the stat sheet, and dlee put in work, but monta hasn’t done much scoring. 11 assists though! who’s been good?!
killerk968 - January 25, 2012
Curry is totally trapped!
Luckily, he calls timeout
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
love seeing that jeremy tyler played
too!
killerk968 - January 25, 2012
I thought he played well too
Badly Browned - January 25, 2012
yeah, he didn't shoot an airball
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
whaaaaaaaa
123707THIZZ - January 25, 2012
wow. seriously...
jpees - January 25, 2012
oh my god, 5 second call, turnover
what the f was that?
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
Wow
doubleteapot - January 25, 2012
Curry
WHY.
jpees - January 25, 2012
That's ankle nerves yo
123707THIZZ - January 25, 2012
Wow, somehow, we save ourselves from our own mistakes
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
phew, almost
ayeyoJERM - January 25, 2012
Batum is pretty good at chase down blocks. Gotta watch out for that Curry.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
i KNEW Curry would get blocked on that fast break
saw it coming
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
He doesn't want to explode off that ankle.
Tremendous Hops - January 25, 2012
my feeling is that even if he did, he would have been blocked
whoever Blazer that blocked him looked like he had the timing of the block ready the entire time he chased down Curry
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
Yeah
Curry is not known for his Tremendous Hops, even with two good ankles.
Tremendous Hops - January 25, 2012
GD' it
Butterknuckles - January 25, 2012
Well the Warriors pulled this out
doubleteapot - January 25, 2012
shhh, not yet
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
Don't panic
Stay focused
Tremendous Hops - January 25, 2012
if we lose this, i will commit suiceide
calvinnhobbes - January 25, 2012
Not cool to joke about, man.
I hope you’re kidding. If not, get help. Seriously.
Tremendous Hops - January 25, 2012
3 possession ball game
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
Ekpe won us the game
Potential - January 25, 2012
He was definitely a factor
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
Epic Udoh
Had some extra hustle tonight it seemed
Badly Browned - January 25, 2012
Wes Matthews still drains a jumper.
WYK - January 25, 2012
Woo!
We broke 100 points in regulation!
Badly Browned - January 25, 2012
ok, NOW it's over
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
VICTORY
ayeyoJERM - January 25, 2012
6/8 for threes, wow
123707THIZZ - January 25, 2012
Monta. Please defer more..
LuvDubs - January 25, 2012
WINNNNNN
FINALLY
killerk968 - January 25, 2012
Relief
Winning is better than losing.
Tremendous Hops - January 25, 2012
ain't it the truth!
centerre - January 25, 2012
That's two mostly really good games in a row.
cybermaldonado - January 25, 2012
We Win!
Didn’t expect it, but will definitely take it.
Brownie13 - January 25, 2012
Wow,
EXCELLENT shooting night by steph, EXCELLENT passing night by ellis, EXCELLENT all around effort by lee, and i cant believe im saying this but UDOH WAS FREAKIN GREAT THIS GAME.
MonstaEllis - January 25, 2012
Warriors are back in the playoff race
doubleteapot - January 25, 2012
Why did Monta defer so much?
Not always a bad thing, but thats just not him. So I’m left asking why?
GSW_fan - January 25, 2012
His shot wasn't falling
And Curry was on fire.
Badly Browned - January 25, 2012
Monta had good passing games every game this year when Curry was also playing.
Raiiny - January 25, 2012
because he knew that he would have to try something completely different, it worked!
monta probably would have shot more if he made his first couple. but he realized he wasnt on target today.
MonstaEllis - January 25, 2012
I guess the passes were there
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
well said, we are a lot more active and proper positioning and movement off ball, making the assists easy.
MonstaEllis - January 25, 2012
Monta defers this year
When Curry is healthy and playing.
Raiiny - January 25, 2012
But in previous games, he's deferred a different way.
Tonight it seemed he was trying to exclusively become a passer.
Brownie13 - January 25, 2012
great win tonight
i’m glad Jeremy Tyler earned some play time
Staticlysmic - January 25, 2012
I am losing my patience for Beans again
He’s done absolutely nothing these last few games
Badly Browned - January 25, 2012
not true, beans continues to foul at a record rate. he is second to no one in this department.
truthfully, jeremy showed some good stuff and was active while on the court. im really hoping he will replace biedrins sooner rather than later.
MonstaEllis - January 25, 2012
Andris Biedrins is fouling at a high rate, but Reggie Evans and Aaron Gray actually foul at a higher rate than him. Ekpe Udoh and Cousins are exactly in line with him, and there are a lot of guys in the same range as him.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
i didnt research it, i really only watch warriors games, i was making a point through hyperbole.
yes ekpe does foul a lot too. wish he bulked up so he didnt have to push so obviously so much resulting in a foul.
MonstaEllis - January 25, 2012
Lol, I was just looking. Biedrins is 6.6 per 40. Klay Thompson is 5.9 per 40. Hahahha
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
dam, klay still needs to learn.
MonstaEllis - January 25, 2012
Jeremy Lin up there too, but he hasn't played much.
Reverend_Randy - January 25, 2012
Same as two years ago (I think it was) , injured his ankle and was never good the rest of the season, right?
cybermaldonado - January 25, 2012
Same last year too IIRC
Badly Browned - January 25, 2012
at least he's consistent
at stinking. I knew all that hype about this being a different season for him wouldn’t last long. Unfortunately, they are stuck with him until that bloated contract of his is up.
centerre - January 25, 2012
i never believed it in the first place
I didn’t read anything different about Biedrins from his training camp interviews
IQofaWarrior - January 25, 2012
yup agree
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
was anyone else beginning to worry when we saw the fail pick and roll twice in the mid 4th quarter?
MonstaEllis - January 25, 2012
I like how monta adjusted his game
shows why he is the leader of the team
dubtown - January 25, 2012
i liked was how he seemed to care a lot about taking care of the possession and minimizing his mistakes. when he makes good decisions, the team definitely is better with him on the floor.
MonstaEllis - January 25, 2012
Ekpe is a damn good defender. I think he should get more credit for it. When defending power forwards he always gives them fits in the post. I know Monroe puts up the points but defense like his should be celebrated.
J-RIDAH - January 25, 2012
you are absolutely right. he is really good and defending power forwards.
luckily the matchup today with camby nonexistent on offense, allowed us to get away with having dlee at center. but what happens when we need someone to guard center? i WISH ekpe bulked up.
MonstaEllis - January 25, 2012
Thats why we need a real C.
J-RIDAH - January 25, 2012
i agree 100%
now the problem is, if ekpe is in the game for defense, we wont have dlee to score like he did today. ekpe is definitely not even close offensively. what a dilemma. is it not?
MonstaEllis - January 25, 2012
I really thought Ekpe and Lee could play together
Turns out they can’t
doubleteapot - January 25, 2012
hahaha i remember you. well looks like ekpe made up for playing poorly against memphis.
luckily this matchup allowed dlee a pass on defense. definitely wont happen most nights..
MonstaEllis - January 25, 2012
sorry about the grammar and all, im a bit drunk.
MonstaEllis - January 25, 2012
Larry Riley should be in jail for robbing the pacers in the Rush trade.
J-RIDAH - January 25, 2012
Lol
mykelala01 - January 25, 2012
in dallas
Got a sports bar to turn the game on.
I hate to say this. I agree with J. It’s friendlier/more fun outside the bay
tafkasam - January 25, 2012
That's why we need Lacob to build more clubs
doubleteapot - January 25, 2012
It's not about clubs
It’s about the fact the bay (for all it’s ‘diversity’) is simply more segregated than the rest of the country.
I’m sorry, I’ve been to NY, Chicago a bunch for work, but I don’t know what it is, being in Dallas made me really realize it. It’s simply not as diverse
tafkasam - January 25, 2012
new york is not a friendly place thats for sure.
MonstaEllis - January 25, 2012
i love nyc
Always had a great time with strangers.
tafkasam - January 25, 2012
NYC treats vistors and newcomers better
than some other similar big cities, like Chi or Bos. NY is a city of the newly arrived, in many ways.
the.monk - January 25, 2012
Told you so. Ayo Taf, since you in Dallas, ask Vince Carter the directions to this place on Twitter.

J-RIDAH - January 25, 2012
LOL, the irony
Dude at the bar I was talking to while watching warriors game and LAC/LAL game gave me free passes to a club. I said no (cause I have a meeting in 6 hours, but still)
tafkasam - January 25, 2012
Yeah yeah, we get you think Riley is a great GM unlike the rest of us.
doubleteapot - January 25, 2012
He’s a pretty good GM. He drafted the franchise player and have Dorell and Rush for less than 6 mill on the cap.
J-RIDAH - January 25, 2012
Curry isnt a franchise guy in all likelihood
but it was a good pick
dubzfan - January 26, 2012
HAHAH. rush should really be starting at sf and getting starter minutes. he is that good.
MonstaEllis - January 25, 2012
thank the schedule
it would be plumbing new depths, to lose at home to a team playing its third consecutive night. winning through perimeter shooting, failing to get free throws, nice ball movement and assist to shot ratio, passable d against a road weary team ; a mixed bag for a win. tyler getting some meaningful minutes, and rush superseding wright, hopeful signs.
the.monk - January 25, 2012
Good game, good win
Glad we got a win finally!
Duby Dub Dubs - January 25, 2012 via mobile
Tyler looks like he might live up to his potential
I still think he’s a career backup center though
