Hey isn't the Rock and Roll Hall of fame out there? Cleveland it is.

Their numbers are many.
Warriors: 3-6
Cavaliers: 7-3
Tip-Off: 4:00pm
TV: CSN Bay Area
Radio: KNBR 680
Blog Buddy: Fear The Sword

Okay maybe I'm being a little pessimistic. After all, we do have a few new bullets in our chamber, don't we? I mean, think about it, as long as Bell and Vlad the Impaler don't go a combined 4-14 in 45 minutes of play, we're on the path to coming out on top! Hahaha; aaaaaaaah bitterness. Sorry Stephen, I was just playing around there.
No I wasn't! HAHAHAHAHA!
No but seriously, we're in for a train wreck tomorrow.I for one will be looking for some good initial chemistry between our new guys and old (relatively speaking) and hoping for the best as we take on King James and company in their own palace.
C'mon Warriors. Surprise me.

Lat We N Trash - November 17, 2009
I have a strange feeling Warriors win tonight.
Wait. nevermind. Forgot they have Lebron James.
I bet if we still had Shaun Pruitt we’d have a chance tonight.
Go…Warriors…sttt…
forget it.
I’m not even gonna watch the game tonight. I’m just going to watch re-runs of the first two rounds of the 2007 NBA Playoffs on VHS.
bye.

Don't think so
they said they are going to evaluate his ligament in his wrist

we miss you already
Kelenna will be out for the rest of the season.
girltothemax - November 17, 2009
Monta as King Leonidas?
This is Spaartaa!…oh wait…they’re in Cleveland. Nevermind.
Can’t wait to see a game without Jackson in it. Good luck to him btw.
girltothemax - November 17, 2009
The only King Leonidas was Baron (anyone have that tony.psd artwork?)…and he’s gone!
Maybe AR can take over?
LostHawkGSW - November 17, 2009
Lets hope the young players getting more playing time
Though who can defend james now without sjax and buike? Maggs?
mosdl - November 17, 2009
Devean George……………. lol.
samuraaaaiiiiiii - November 17, 2009
Raja Bell won't be playing tonight
Neither is CJ. Our rotation is expected to be:
Monta, Curry, Randolph, Moore, Maggette, Morrow
with Radman a possibility and Turiaf suiting up. If no Radman, George will suit up. This will be paaaaiiiinful.
Nevertheless, I’m excited to see how the team responds with no Jack. Jack’s still gone, right? Right??? Woot!
IQofaWarrior - November 17, 2009
Oh man
What a line-up…
disguy - November 17, 2009
OoOoO
A possible Devean George sighting? I can’t wait!
Let’s hope Morrow pulls a Brandon Jennings, only all his shots need to be threes. 20/27 from 3 pt. range.
gargleafg - November 17, 2009
They should play zone and hope the Cavs aren’t hitting from 3. Because man to man Lebron will destroy them.
homer simpson - November 17, 2009
Bell is having surgery
per a retweet that Matt Steinmetz put up this morning.
matt_steinmetz
RT @PDcavsinsider: Don Nelson said they’ll dress 8 but Raja Bell is emer. player. Bell going to get surgery on his wrist he put off in CHA
sjsnider - November 17, 2009
Hmm...
It’s either because he doesn’t want to play for us, or more likely, he’s healing himself up for free agency next summer.
IQofaWarrior - November 17, 2009
Probably the latter
I’m pretty sure Bell and Nellie like each other. Plus Bell was just playing for the Bobcats…. He probably feels this is a good act break, and time to get it done.
samuraaaaiiiiiii - November 17, 2009
Also something to consider
On the way to the office this afternoon, Fitz said that Bell was going to have that surgery even if he wasn’t traded. So if that’s true, then his surgery has nothing to do with us.
IQofaWarrior - November 17, 2009
Fitz said that Bell was going to have that surgery even if he wasn’t traded.
So why did we trade for a useless player? at least Jax was healthy??
Skeptic con Urquell - November 17, 2009

tafkasam - November 17, 2009
Was this the surrender for tanking already?
Even earlier than last season. Is this a new NBA record?
Skeptic con Urquell - November 17, 2009
Probably
But I’d much rather be in the running for John Wall than pretending we have even the slightest chance at the number 8 seed (with or without S-Jax).
JustEhCanadian - November 17, 2009

Suck it, NBA!

final score prediction
96 – 110 Cavs. no chance of winning this game with a 6 man rotation.
Jagz8 - November 17, 2009
It'll be a miracle
No way do we score more than 90. The Cavs play defense.
disguy - November 17, 2009

gametime_gsw - November 17, 2009

randolphforpresident - November 17, 2009
i heard part of that,
but he was wrong about 1 point. He was wondering how AR can play well against twolves and pacers and only log a few minutes against the knicks. He has no idea that AR injured his shoulder in the knicks game.
IQofaWarrior - November 17, 2009
Curry + Morrow combine for 70 points!
Anndddd the Warriors lose by 30

IQofaWarrior - November 17, 2009
We'll win today
The last two game, the dubs have been passing the ball real good. However, the dubs dont have enough body to bang w/ Shaq, we will get into foul trouble for sure. Key to win: go for steal, 1 man fast break, take elbow from Shaq
Minh Phan - November 17, 2009
Randolph must love bieng on bench...
with 7 healthy players and a guy who just came to down starting over him

Lat We N Trash - November 17, 2009

thebeatlephil97 - November 17, 2009
yeah, but AR has to earn them
he has to mature, develop a game, develop a brain, stuff like that
IQofaWarrior - November 17, 2009

Never been in an open thread before. I feel I’ve been forced here. I have one complaint I feel it’s necessary to voice. As best I can tell, there are 6 out of 10 of the fanshots (maybe more, I’m only looking at the titles) on the front page are dedicated to Monta Ellis trade proposals. I hope a mod sees this and takes most of them down. That’s ridiculous and ruins any hope of decent conversations in real fanposts. If anyone in here is responsible for one of those fanposts, what is wrong with you? You don’t see the other 5 already up? Go into those fanposts and post your idea in the comments. That’s how this blog work – it facilitates discussion, you don’t need a damn fanpost for every idea you think of.

they are a Nelly gimmicky trick carnival that real NBA teams dismantle

Giving up wide open threes for contestant 2’s….

Maggette needs to be able to convert or draw a foul there, no excuse. Only person defending the rim was an out of position Big Z and he pokes the ball away?
samuraaaaiiiiiii - November 17, 2009
i think they should put tenths of a second on the shot clock
IQofaWarrior - November 17, 2009

Skeptic con Urquell - November 17, 2009
Poor NBA the GREAT KING needs help from the refs to beat the Warriors

not many posts, are they getting held up somewhere or is everyone just tired?
Skeptic con Urquell - November 17, 2009
could be worse, we could actually look like we know how to play defense
62% shooting for the cavs. we been shooting over 50% on this road trip but we still getting outshot, pathetic
pre10d - November 17, 2009
anybody seen the new nba.com tv companion? its pretty sweet
pre10d - November 17, 2009
AHEM
as i was saying before the servers hung, that was some nice chemistry between morrow and curry. morrow to curry back to morrow for three, swish!
IQofaWarrior - November 17, 2009
+1
Don’t forget to include AR in that mix.
The best chemistry on the team is Curry, A-mo, and AR.
ROMESdavidWOOD37 - November 17, 2009
Cavs are playing great ball, Warriors hanging right in there
I’ve noticed Curry & Morrow have plays designed just for the two of them.. Curry’s been finding him every time!
Vlad’s been solid for us too, he’s just been missing a few shots short… (one veryyy short lol)
Xero - November 17, 2009
yeah, i wonder if morrow feels free that jack's gone
or maybe curry feels free to run the point. wish i knew.
IQofaWarrior - November 17, 2009
Lebron doing everything other than scoring
Imagine if he tried.
SigEpWarrior - November 17, 2009
Not playing bad
Our D still has problems when we collapse on bigs (our 4/5 tend to go defend the same guy and leave someone open), but its good youth development.
mosdl - November 17, 2009
anybody seen the new nba.com tv companion? its pretty sweet
pre10d - November 17, 2009
I'll take it
In CWebb’s context, Monta needs to know that “the grass isn’t always greener” somewhere else. I feel that this team can compete when healthy. Hopefully he can suck it up for at least this season.
SigEpWarrior - November 17, 2009
Not playing bad
I don’t think they are trying to make it hard for us. They should just pound it inside and rack up fouls instead of settling for outside shots and lethargic passing.
Skeptic con Urquell - November 17, 2009
Real Talk...Not being funny
Anthony Randolph is not very good…he’s terrible! Truth is, he’s not the future…don’t think that he ever will be…no offensive game whatsoever, Hakim Warrick at BEST
Brothaplease09 - November 17, 2009
A little bit early to dismiss him
He has regressed a bit though
mosdl - November 17, 2009
He has regressed a bit though
I think he’s still a little tweaked plus he’s learning that he can’t play at top speed without injury. He’ll learn to play at the correct pace eventually , he’s still young.
Skeptic con Urquell - November 17, 2009
Anthony Randolph is not very good
He’s just gotta learn to play to his skills and not to the things he can’t do. He’s got some great qualities mixed in with the bad ones.
Skeptic con Urquell - November 17, 2009
You act like he's been in the league for 15 years and has been mediocre for 15 years.
It’s his second year for God’s Sake.
You’re going to eat your words.
ROMESdavidWOOD37 - November 17, 2009

CSalMJS - November 17, 2009
rusty simmons
Monta Ellis left the court, clutching his left hand after a late-seconds turnover. He returned from the locker room for second-half warm ups less than two minutes before the horn sounded.
IQofaWarrior - November 17, 2009
At this stage...
Vlad Radman is light years better than Anthony Randolph and its his first game with the team (insane)…its not even comparable. He will get minutes at the 4 over Randolph easily when Andris or Turiaf return…I dont understand these players…they pout that they’re not getting minutes then they get minutes and suck terribly…

Skeptic con Urquell - November 17, 2009

Regardless of the outcome of this game...
This is the best game played by the warriors this year. The odd thing is, it is on the road with 7 players. If we converted on our free throws more often, we would be winning. But win or lose, I am ecstatic about this game. This year is about the team getting better, not winning every game (although that would be nice). When the effort is there, the Warriors can compete with many teams. The second half defense has been superb and they never gave up. Great game tonight.

a couple less turnovers at the end and we got it
scraider3 - November 17, 2009
i like this effort, i like the way we played
we hung in, didn’t back down, played like a team, no selfishness
IQofaWarrior - November 17, 2009
Well played guys good chemistry, just inexperience
9ersDubsGiantSharks - November 17, 2009
Ya’. Chemistry is better.
Naticus2 - November 17, 2009
Eh… we would’ve won with Biedrins and Turiaf. Guaranteed.
Naticus2 - November 17, 2009
and kelenna
and CJ
Shells - November 17, 2009
Exactly. We lost due to swine flue and weak soft tissue and ligaments.
Naticus2 - November 17, 2009
and we didnt foul at 1 minute out for what reason?????
BritWarriorGSW - November 17, 2009
we were in the bonus

WHY? Because players know this kid is going to be great…
BritWarriorGSW - November 17, 2009

Skeptic con Urquell - November 17, 2009
Hey did you guys see Lebron giving Curry advice?
that’s great! Lebron has respect for Curry sweeeet!
bojangles408 - November 17, 2009
He said
Learn the crab dribble
dong4ce - November 17, 2009
lol
girltothemax - November 17, 2009
lol
Maggs has the “crab dribble” mastered.
Naticus2 - November 17, 2009
Yeah, it was cute
its like a big brother teaching his lil bro
girltothemax - November 17, 2009
hey lil bro
you da man so stay focused

Skeptic con Urquell - November 17, 2009

We would have lost with sjax
mosdl - November 17, 2009
by 25
buky - November 17, 2009
We lost without him.
WarriorForLife - November 17, 2009
but we played
better without him and the ball is moving
jonaaathan - November 17, 2009
I agree. I was just pointing out the funny in mosdl's comment. "We would have lost with sjax."
Should’ve specified.
WarriorForLife - November 17, 2009
kinda reminds
when Jax got 5 fouls +T in LA preseason game
W’s won
Lat We N Trash - November 17, 2009
We didn't get blown
out. That’s the most important part. Losing by a few point is fine. at least it makes the games watchable. Getting blown out is horrible.
saintdee - November 17, 2009
easy win
…almost
Lat We N Trash - November 17, 2009
well if refs were calling fouls on maggette like on lebron
we would’ve won.
but good job stern, you secured your golden boyfriend another win
Am22mO - November 17, 2009
he wasn't making all the FT
Shells - November 17, 2009
He was 6-8, around what he'd normally shoot.
WarriorForLife - November 17, 2009
I know seriously! LeBron gets all the calls....
GSWfan4lyf - November 17, 2009
Maggs has barely gotten any calls this year...
samuraaaaiiiiiii - November 17, 2009
Best game
Best game played by the Warriors this year.
Reasons that they lost:
-Poor free throw shooting
-Easily fooled refs
-First half defense
-And the fact that they have the best player in basketball
GSWfan4lyf - November 17, 2009
Not fooled refs but properly schooled refs by the NBA and THE MAN himself David $tern
buky - November 17, 2009
Kobe is not on the Cavs
you got it all wrong
Am22mO - November 17, 2009
AHAHAHAHAHA
Nope, Kobe’s the OTHER best player in basketball. BIG difference.
And if we had Shaq and Varejao, you would have had less of a chance.
WaveOcean - November 17, 2009
HAHAHAHA joker IF we would have Azubuike, Biedrins, Turiaf,Bell,Watson,Wright,...
then we can talk
buky - November 17, 2009
kobe's the best
he doesn’t need the size of a truck to be dominant
jonaaathan - November 17, 2009
Wade is the other best player, Kobe is the best player.
Oh yes, because shaq and varejao are better than biedrins, azubuike, turiaf, bell and c.j. watson..
thanks for letting me know.
Am22mO - November 17, 2009
Shaq makes you worse. Sorry. LeBron is not staying next year, by the way. I hear he likes NY.
Naticus2 - November 17, 2009
If I had a dollar for every time a Warriors fan has said that....
WaveOcean - November 17, 2009
You'd have exactly 1 dollar?
WarriorForLife - November 17, 2009
It’s true. Bron is gone. (I just thought of that rhyme. Sweet, huh? )
Naticus2 - November 17, 2009
Dont worry
after Lebron leaves you’ll still have the Browns
gametime_gsw - November 17, 2009
And you’ll always have the Raiders
WaveOcean - November 17, 2009
Damn you!
gametime_gsw - November 17, 2009
I have the 9ers. Raiders don’t exist to me.
Naticus2 - November 17, 2009
Also, the Browns are caleld the Browns for a reason. They’re poo.
Naticus2 - November 17, 2009
Wow, goooood one.
WarriorForLife - November 17, 2009
Yeah. I came up with that when I was 3 years old. I was a very creative boy.
Naticus2 - November 17, 2009
I hear a lot of people saying that, not just Warriors fans.
Pretty much the only people that think he is staying are Cavs fans.
Reverend_Randy - November 17, 2009
ehhh I think
Wade is the best this year
9ersDubsGiantSharks - November 17, 2009
btw, NO THIRD QTR COLLAPSE!
IQofaWarrior - November 17, 2009

Shells - November 17, 2009
Unselfishness was the reason
GSWfan4lyf - November 17, 2009
gswscribe
For the record, that’s a bad pass by Maggette, an ill-timed crossover by Curry, and a traveling violation by Maggette in the last 2 minutes
IQofaWarrior - November 17, 2009
I've said many times that Maggette is not someone you want in when the game is on the line.
samuraaaaiiiiiii - November 17, 2009
for the moment
he’s an experienced veteran, so i think we’ll have to live with that for a while. if the other kids can step up at the end of game, i’d like to see that instead of maggette
IQofaWarrior - November 17, 2009
your gonna hear that a lot this year "good effort" but its still a L
CSalMJS - November 17, 2009
Damn, missed the 2nd half
But I love the effort the team seemed to show! Maybe they’ll be watchable after all
SigEpWarrior - November 17, 2009
yeah, we won the 2nd half
IQofaWarrior - November 17, 2009
I'm telling you it's all Jacksons whack ass selfish play!
I was watching the game against Charlotte and Orlando and I was LMAO omg he was taking his step in threes and missing them and posting into 3 defenders. GL Bobcats!!
bojangles408 - November 17, 2009
A player like Jax makes other players more passive
Cuz Jack wants the ball all the time and doesn’t pass in crunch time. So they wait for him to do it all. Now they know they can’t do it.
worldblee - November 17, 2009
time to learn about the new guys
Shells - November 17, 2009

RAdman
BritWarriorGSW - November 17, 2009
for being a good team player?
Shells - November 17, 2009
For arriving and adjusting into a very different style of play...
Getting some good points and showing Randolph how to rebound and instantly outlet rather than run up the damn court with the ball Jackson style….
BritWarriorGSW - November 17, 2009
Raja Bell
Did you see all the smiling faces on the bench all game?
samuraaaaiiiiiii - November 17, 2009
for telling AR to play better?
Shells - November 17, 2009
That too. It worked.
samuraaaaiiiiiii - November 17, 2009
Either Maggette or Randolph
GSWfan4lyf - November 17, 2009
Jackson....
For not being there to ball hog and complain.
WarriorForLife - November 17, 2009
all 7 players
for a game like this, there is no one warrior wonder
IQofaWarrior - November 17, 2009
I don't know about you, but I am MORE excited to watch the games now
without Jackson on the court.
I’m loving Radman’s presence on the paint. I’m waiting to see what Bell can do for the team. Can’t wait.
I don’t think this game was Curry’s fault. Nellie switched Radman for Maggette which I think was stupid because Radman is a rebounder slash shooter. Maggette was just turn over waiting to happen.
girltothemax - November 17, 2009
radman is the leagues worst rebounder
gsw1 - November 17, 2009
not tonight he wasnt..he took some great boards with sharp outlets...
BritWarriorGSW - November 17, 2009
he did
get his own rebound and dunked it haha
jonaaathan - November 17, 2009
were you watching the game???
girltothemax - November 17, 2009
yup he had 5 rebounds
gsw1 - November 17, 2009
once the warriors get some practice in with the new guys
they will be better. in the 1st qtr there were some miss-communication where moore would jump out and radman wouldn’t come over to help cover Z. once they figure out where to be on the floor, the d will improve.
jonaaathan - November 17, 2009

i’m not being mean, but just because a persons from VI, doesn’t make you ethnicity not Indian. Remember, blood you can’t change, but nationality, you so can.
And people migrate all over the world all the time. Does being American make a hispanic person white?
Alright, but he does look Indian.

but it's Raja
where’s R-Dizzle at?
Shells - November 17, 2009

Raja means "hope" in Arabic (feminine) and "king" in Indian (masculine)
Shells - November 17, 2009

for offensive purposes. bell might not play with us with his wrist surgery. otherwise, i agree that i can’t wait to watch how this team gels now

Naticus2 - November 17, 2009
Cavs are pathetic dude...
They are a one man team… Without Lebron on the court, they play weak and selfish… They lack defense and physicality and I believe they will get knocked out in the first round… They are extremely overrated and collapse in the clutch(except Lebron)… Lets face it, Warriors stink on the road, but at home are much better… Do you reallly think they Cavs could beat the Warriors in Oracle after that weak performance at home? ahem… no
GSWfan4lyf - November 17, 2009
lebron
saves so many layups with his crazy blocks. with him gone thats another +6 or so points for the opposing team
jonaaathan - November 17, 2009

jonaaathan - November 17, 2009

hermaphrodites can play basketball, and so can disabled people too.

gsw1 - November 17, 2009
Grizzlies dont want Monta… Why do you think they didnt play Iverson??? Because they like Conley and Mayo in the backcourt
GSWfan4lyf - November 17, 2009
Because Iverson refused to come off the bench and made a big stink and ruined everything.
Reverend_Randy - November 17, 2009
Yeah, but I'd bet Monta wouldn't be happy coming off the bench either.
WarriorForLife - November 17, 2009
Curry/Ellis backcourt was great tonight
They both looked for eachother, both made shots, both passed well. Curry just needs to take more shots as does Morrow.
Xero - November 17, 2009
Yepppp...
GSWfan4lyf - November 17, 2009
That’s a young backcourt, too. Curry is just getting started. So good for a rookie.
Naticus2 - November 17, 2009

I dont know about you guys, but I see vast improvement in Moore already
GSWfan4lyf - November 17, 2009
i read that he was gaining confidence

IQofaWarrior - November 17, 2009
he's getting minutes
he cant do what he’s doing with only 2 mins in and then out for another quarter
jonaaathan - November 17, 2009
he was never that bad...
he just had a couple of terrible games and everyone jumped on the stupid bus…claiming the worst player in the league….which was bloody nonsense…
BritWarriorGSW - November 17, 2009
Moore once again is an underdog
he’s not gonna be a Monta or Curry type of player. He tries his best.
girltothemax - November 17, 2009
He’s fine off the bench. For now, he’ll do. We can’t complain about him, considering he was supposed to be a 3rd option off the bench.
Naticus2 - November 17, 2009
don't you think Curry is overrated though?

girltothemax - November 17, 2009
Jackson's newfound freedom?
Now that’s a mirage
SigEpWarrior - November 17, 2009
Actually a great article
and many of those things I raised about Jackson and Larry earlier today…no way it will last.. Jackson will end up at New York…along with Monta I suspect…..
You heard it here first!!!
BritWarriorGSW - November 17, 2009
They might be smart to take monta, actually. I’m sure they’re sick of bad contracts after Isaiah, though. They’re not taking Jack.
Naticus2 - November 17, 2009
they will if Charlotte has to eat the contract...
BritWarriorGSW - November 17, 2009
Hmmm… perhaps. But they’re going for a star. I’m sure they’re not going to pick up long term contracts that aren’t that productive. That would be Jack. He’d take up cap space, which they need.
Naticus2 - November 17, 2009
Monta wont be going to New York
especially if the knicks are trying to get lebron. monta has a big contract himself
jonaaathan - November 17, 2009
i don't think the Cavs is a good team
they’re only good with James. Without him, they’re terrible
Shells - November 17, 2009
We will only know if James goes to the Warriors. =)
girltothemax - November 17, 2009
they're not a good team
without their star player, they suck it up pretty bad.
the dubs have been playing pretty good without multiple starters

Which big man do you have in mind?
Xero - November 17, 2009
One similar to Boozer, that can score and rebound

Naticus2 - November 17, 2009

At least he’s handsome… er uh.. pretty.
Naticus2 - November 17, 2009
yes, i am jealous!
Shells - November 17, 2009
surprised by the effort
i think the warriors were energized by the trade, and it showed in their play, specifically their ball movement. when’s the last time we saw the ball moving around like that consistantly throughout the game (other than the minnesotta game which was an anomaly). also this was the second game in a row where i think if we have biedrins or turiaf we would win. we just need more size
AJC3317 - November 17, 2009
and that minnesota game wasn't even pretty either
when i watched it again the day after, it didn’t look all that smooth
IQofaWarrior - November 17, 2009
We did alright tonight.....
I was expecting us to get raped and blown out but we held our won.
The ball seems to be moving well without Jack. Everyone’s looking for everyone.
Randolph is playing a bit to soft but he was asserting himself which is something I like.
Monta was passing and found Morrow a few times. He needs to know that giving Morrow for the open jumper is an easy assist. I like the way things played out tonnight. We obviously didn’t win but we fought till the end instead of giving up.
Richboievans - November 17, 2009
Rad man
tossing too many bricks. I didn’t like that. But he shot almost 50% so its kinda ok.

James said before the game he believes he could have been a star in the NFL, too. ``If I put all my time and commitment into it, if I dedicated myself to the game of football, I could be really good,'' he said. ``No matter what team I was on.''

I’ve been saying that for a long time, actually.
Reverend_Randy - November 17, 2009
He can probably play QB better than Russell
gametime_gsw - November 17, 2009
He'd be a beast of a receiver or cornerback. Heck, even a running back.
WarriorForLife - November 17, 2009
i’m not fan of his cause he never seems to have an original thought. his number is based on jordan’s. wants to switch jersey’s like kobe. i just don’t give a crap about him. would rather watch kobe.
chiaro - November 17, 2009
Well, he wants to change numbers to honor Jordan. I don't know why Kobe changed his.

It's funny how that comentator said that Warriors stayed in the game
because of good shooting:
Cavs FG-58,2%
Warriors-46,6%
So the Cavs shoot 75% regulary or what?
buky - November 17, 2009
Cavs FG% was so high
because of W’s D
-so W’s compensate bad D (both centers out though) with their high FG%
